    I,will turn 65 July. 20. Can I sign,up for Medicare online or call your 800 #?

    • Kenny O.

Hi Wanda. Yes, individuals within three months of age 65 or older and not ready to start their monthly cash benefits can use our online retirement application to sign up for Medicare ONLY and apply for their retirement benefits at a later date.
Since you must pay a premium for Part B coverage, you have the option of turning it down. However, we suggest that individuals speak to their health benefits advisor, or health plan representative to see what’s best for them, and to prevent any penalties or delayed enrollment in the future.
To learn more about the Medicare enrollment periods visit http://www.Medicare.gov, and read our publication “Apply Online for Medicare – Even If You Are Not Ready to Retire“.
      We hope this information helps!

I tried to sign up to this website and couldn’t get a password in without being kicked out, someone else had it. With the millions of people enrolled, I’m not surprised. I threw away the activation code.

I believe signing up is futile

I’m pleased with the way that blog.ssa.gov handles this sort of subject. Generally to the point, often polemic, consistently well-researched and also stimulating.

I currently don’t want to sign up for information on my social security on line…..but, could you release the Debit Cards for those connected to the John W. Walker case? There are many in need and the debit cards would really help until the beneficiaries are called.

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

  8. Clarissa S.

Noble Correctinal Institution needs a fax #, or email to send a signed release of records for a current inmate.

    • Ann C.

Hi, Clarissa. For your local Social Security office contact information, please visit here. We hope this helps.

I’m again requesting social security statements to be sent to all beneficiaries of the John W. Walker estate. Several months ago, I was told that such would be sent out. But nothings has happened.

Also, I have left several messages for Lisa Walker at your Tucson Co office for a return call. Her courtesy has not been extended to me. Please help!

    • Vonda V.
