Celebrating Public Service Recognition Week
Reading Time: 1 MinuteLast Updated: May 4, 2021
Since 1985, we have celebrated Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) during the first week in May to highlight the significant contributions by employees throughout government. I have joined 63 federal agencies as a co-chair to this year’s PSRW letter. Please know that we are here to serve you and join me in thanking our dedicated employees.

Public officials value their employment for a variety of reasons, ranging from preserving our democracy to making one person’s day a little brighter. But they’ve all dedicated their life to public service, and that’s something to be proud of. https://britishdissertationhelp.co.uk/

Reference to “Celebrated Public Service Recognition Week”; If Social Security really cares about public service then why do they choose to cut my Soc Sec way back because I worked for public service. I’ve paid in to Soc Sec for over 20 years and just because I choose to work in a public service job after that, Soc Sec applies the WEP and cuts out almost 60% of my Soc. Sec. At this time I feel that this government agency cannot be trusted and Soc Sec is a scam. They want to give Soc Sec to just anyone, how about the people who actually paid in to it!

I want to thank the hardworking public servants at the Social Security Administration. I especially want to express appreciation to my daughter and other family members who presently work for SSA and who continue helping our neighbors during these difficult times; especially during this Pandemic.

Being a Public Servant myself I want to say, “Thank you” for showing a dedication to so many that provide time and excellence to those in need. I have worked for FEMA since 2008 and prior to that I worked for the State of Texas for six years in Response and Recovery efforts for numerous disasters. During my time in Emergency Management I have met some of the most skillful, humble and dedicated people. With FEMA I work with numerous other agencies and charitable organizations all brimming with selfless workers banding together with a common goal, to help the survivors of cataclysmic circumstances to regain their lives and restore stability for their families with dignity and poise. Add this to all the other sectors of public service that have shined most brightly in the last 16 months in response to the COVID crisis I would say you really have your work cut out for you. I wish for you a guiding spirit. There is no way you can award the thousands of deserving people but you can honor them all with sound practices in your decision making. It is often that the upper crust that get most of the accolades but they could not have achieved anything without those with their boots on the ground and the heart to help their fellow man. Best of luck in your endeavors.
