Be aware that scammers may try to trick you into thinking the pandemic is stopping your Social Security payments but that is not true. Don’t be fooled.

To protect you and help stop the spread of this coronavirus, we cannot accept visitors in our offices at this time. There are several other ways you can get help. Many services are available online. If you have a critical need that you cannot address online, we can help you over the phone.

All I have to say is WOW! I am embarrassed to admit that I am a USA citizen after reading all these comments. Seriously? With what we are facing with this pandemic and we still cannot pull together and be nice and kind to each other. So sad. My hats off to all these other countries for pulling together and helping each other. Not the USA. We have to continue to bash our president, bash each other and complain about politics. Forget that we have thousands of people dying everyday. It is way more important to bash Trump and complain about politics and treat each other with disrespect.

Couldn’t be happy getting hung with a new rope ya had to bitch and whine now someone’s taking your check out of your pocket while your swaying in the wind. People who complain shouldnt be allowed in our county .here’s a idea maybe were all fucked and they can just throw a dog a bone to chew on and keep him happy until he goes to sleep. We are all born savages its just grandparents and religion that is incorperated into our daily lives to keep us from all killing and eating each other like back in the day . Circa 19 ad .lmao bitch bitch bitch . Our presidents were generals leaders they weren’t monkeys trying to fuck footballs trump can get shit done when it hits the fan its always the people who never contribute or want a discount that bitch and complain. Support you country your troops and leaders its your job as True Americans . If you not happy get the fuck out of the boiling pot we all human and equal everyones got problems and hardships turn the frown around use all that negativity towards positive things and help your neighbors friends fellow mankind and clean this shit up because the natives are getting restless and your making a bad impression and fucking up the land . And if you don’t like trump hire the two guys in the balcony on the muppets for president and vice president . Otherwise just hit the reset button and stfu. Smoke a joint and be happy . Santa’s always watching . P.s. Russian chicks are hot …lmao words and shit.

“The income levels the government will review to make the cash payout determinations will be based on 2018 tax returns”, McConnell said.

So, if you live off your SSI and don’t make enough to file. ZERO help.

  4. Nick

I just talked to Trump. No check if you didn’t file taxes.

    • lol

      lol

  5. Barry D.

They will be paying only those that filed and paid taxes 2018, so those on SSI that did not make enough, which is most, get nothing 🙁

    Vote for Biden

    • JERRY B.

Just announced today Biden has dropped out of the race and has thrown all his support to Joe Biden.

I worked hard for 45 years and paid tons of taxes. Through no fault of my own, my 401k was virtually wiped out a few years ago. My wife and I survive entirely on my modest social security income. Both of us have major health issues, and on top of that, 3 days ago I was diagnosed with lung cancer and am scheduled to start chemotherapy soon. We struggle financially every day of our lives – and many times can’t even get all of our perscription medication. I do not expect to be included in any government relief program – although it would make things much better. I also refuse to get bitter or mad about it. We will continue to do the best we can, give thanks to God for the blessings we do have, and to offer our prayers to those who have it even worse than us. People may fail us , Sometimes it seems the government may forget about us….But God never will. I will continue to pray for our beloved Country to get through this horrible time we are living in

Will the relief which the Trump Administration is offering to those with default student loans include temporarily discontinuing 15% garnishing of Social Security?

    • Zack

Don’t know. But, if you’re on SSDI, you can get your student loans erased. It takes a lot of paperwork, but it can be done.

I don’t know about everyone else, but I am still taxed on the SS check I receive each month, just like others who are still in the workforce.
We have filed our taxes and paid a big chunk out of our SS each year since we left the workforce. My husband, at 73, has gone back to work full time just so we can put food on our table and a roof over our heads.
Guess we’ll have to wait and see. It sure would help those of us who live SS check to SS check each month.

I certainly hope the stimulus includes social security recipients. My sister broke %! Vertebrae in her neck and her usual helpers are not available due to… family layoffs so I help but I don’t drive and must uber there to get her to food or doctors, then uber her home and then walk me home since I cannot afford it either.
