A COVID-19 Update from Our Commissioner

I want you to hear directly from me how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting our services. The first thing you should know is that we continue to pay benefits. Be aware that scammers may try to trick you into thinking the pandemic is stopping your Social Security payments but that is not true. Don’t be fooled.

To protect you and help stop the spread of this coronavirus, we cannot accept visitors in our offices at this time. There are several other ways you can get help. Many services are available online. If you have a critical need that you cannot address online, we can help you over the phone.

Please visit our website to find out what services we are continuing and which ones we are suspending, how to contact us, and important information about deadlines we are extending to ease the burden on you and medical providers during this pandemic.

    Here we are on May 13 still no stimulis payment according to SSA.GOV should have received a direct deposit, but nothing, still not able to check payment status with the tool get my payment because it states not available why have others received their checks but I have not. I qualify, have direct deposit, not claiming any dependents so mine should have been automatic, but yet here I am waiting early May, May 13 nothing still waiting. SSA and SSDI recipient. Is there anyone that can help with the payment details????

        James I am in the same boat with you as of May 13th I got no stimulus check everbody around me got theirs. I receive benefits on direct express card I should have gotten mines on the 13th of May here it is May 14th no stimulus check again when I check my direct express card and no depending deposit as well I qualify for this stimulus check this shit don’t make no dam since how the government is handling the economic payments I need to talk to someone in government office not no dam recorded messages!!!! That don’t do shit for us who have not gotten our stimulus checks this governnment is so dam corrupt!!!

    FLORIDA UNEMPLOYMENT IS SO MESSED UP I AM NOT GETTING THE CARES $600 YET. THE WAITING WEEK BECAME TWO WEEKS AND WHEN THEY TOLD ME TO CALL FOR A NEW PIN I GOT NOBODY. AFTER THEY GAVE ME THE SNAFU PIN CHANGE OPTION, ONLINE, THE SITE WENT DOWN AND MY 72 HOURS WERE EXPIRED DURING THE WEEKEND. PLEASE INTERCEDE FOR ME FOR HOW DO I GET THE CARES 600.00 BACK THROUGH THE ENTIRETY OF APRILWITH ALL THE FLORIDA SCREW-UPS. THEY DELAYED EVERYTHING I TRIED TO DO NORMALLY.

    If there is employers who have Non-Subscribers Workman’s Comp like Walmart who policy for employees says its unacceptable having doctors excuses to stay home get rest for their sickness like cold, flu, walking ammonia and more that’s contagious. Must go into work no matter what going against Doctors making it easy to spread virus to customers nationwide this is why many innocent people are sick due employers going against labor laws abusing there employees. I was injured on the job 10 months ago still today no help from my employer who left me with disability that has me disabled left leg swelling up after being on my feet less than 30 minutes turned to care link for my injurys today. Were is the safety off all American people who is affected by government’s fault in allowing company’s to abuse their employees this way and spreading virus of sick employees in are country what and why this is allowed. This affacts all people and deaths each year what’s being done nothing to prevent it from happening. I believe no company should have that much control in our country for the safety of all the American people money shouldn’t be caused why the government allows this to happen theses are innocent people lives they are dealing with.
