I believe all individuals on SSI or SSDI, or any other social security benefits should be a part of the stimulus package…These individuals are spending more money then usual on other things such as more food then normal along with other needs to stay safe from this…This extra money being spent is coming out of their usual utility and rent money…These individuals are already struggling to make ends meet…

It is disgusting that the people who are on SS will not be receiving any moneys, after all they are old and have worked for many many years to help support this country.
And what ever they are receiving in a bare amount of money to survive on. It is obvious that they are being left out . WHY ? NOT FAIR.

I am just going to wait and see who gets it. I need the help but does not do any good to get upset. It just hurts your health.

Here is something that I haven’t seen no one speak of. I had a stroke and been unemployed and applied for disability several years ago and the issue still has not been settled. I applied the first time, never getting a response after my initial hearing just to find out that it was turned down but was never informed. So I had to reapply and the hearing is up and coming a few months away. Therefore I live off little to nothing. If I attempt to try and make a little extra money, I would get denied for disability.
I wonder what is in store for one of the very few people like me that isn’t on ssi or disability, worked for 25 years at low paying jobs in a impoverished state with no cash at all coming in. I paid my taxes for many years and paid off years of debt before my blockage in my neck occurred.
To me, it appears to me that I should be able to get the stimulus check but appears by all means that I will be one that gets put on the back burner to receive nothing.
Any recommendations or suggestions about my situation?S

Per Washington Post — “22 million Americans, who are under $40,000 a year, will get nothing under the GOP plan.”

The legislation would provide checks of $1,200 per adult for many families, as well as $500 for every child in those families. Families filing jointly would receive up to $2,400 for the adults. The size of the checks would diminish for those earning more than $75,000 and phase out completely for those earning more than $99,000. ‘The poorest families, those with no federal income tax liability, would see smaller benefits, though the minimum would be set at $600.’= THAT IS US…AND THIS IS THE WASHINGTON POST. WE DON’T FILE TAXES BECAUSE WE HAVE NO TAX LIABILITY. SO, WE GET 600.00.

How about you reverse your stance on telecommuting. The decision to stop that program was an arbitrary one. You stopped it before there weren’t proper procedures and measurements in place. So, instead of creating those procedures, you cut off telecommuting. Why? Because you’re too old for the job, and are completely out of touch with todays work environment. You’re 73, and should have retired. Your experience managing several thousand employees at a dozen clothing stores does not qualify you for this position. You are incompetent, and you are endangering your employees.
