The IRS will issue the EIPs via direct deposit and Direct Express starting today, May 22, to the same direct deposit account or Direct Express card as the recipient’s monthly Social Security or SSI payment. Paper check EIPs will be mailed starting May 27.

Visit our website to learn about EIPs and representative payees. You can find the eligibility requirements and other information about the EIPs at the IRS’ Economic Impact Payment Information Center.

I am a legal resident in the United States as of June 15, 2019 and I filed my tax return for the year 2019. I received a refund that was deposited by the IRS directly into my account. Why haven’t I received my stimulus check yet?

It depends on how much your AGI is. They are sending checks, prepaid card, and direct deposit at least through September, it just depends when they schedule.

How will the EIP affect the the monthly asset total amount that will hit people with disabilities SSI/SSA bank accounts? No effect or will the money going over the asset total have to be refunded to Social Security?

    • Anon

The stimulus payment will not be counted towards assets, or have to be paid back or counted as income.

    • V.V.

Hi Marilu, thanks for using our blog. We will not consider economic impact payments as income for SSI recipients, and the payments are excluded from resources for 12 months. Check out the Social Security and Coronavirus web page for additional details.

Hi Jacob, thank you for your question. The Internal Revenue Service, which is part of the Department of Treasury, will be making Economic Income Payments to eligible people. To help you quickly and easily determine whether you need to take any action to receive your Economic Impact Payment, check out the step-by-step instructions on the Social Security and Coronavirus web page.

SSDI for roughly ten years with direct deposit and still no payment, I also get the payment status not available when I check the get my payment. Is there a number I can call to get this resolved?

I am on SSDI and SSI disability I have direct deposit for my pmts in my bank account but I have not received my stimulus pmt yet . I used the nonfilers app. As initially was told to do just to put my information in . Then read I should not do anything. I’ve read where SSDI and SSI recipients will receive payment as the usual way we get our SSI disability and SSDI benefits. Today is May 24. 2020 I feel I must have caused me not to receive a stimulus pmt. Please help me with what I should do because I cannot talk to anyone from the IRS…I need this pmt as much as we all do. I I dont have a representative payee . This new information seems to be for rep.payee ….Any advice of what I should expect or to do for not receiving stimulus pmt will help ….thanks

I am SSDI direct deposit too. I went online to IRS.gov to Get my payment. They mailed it to me which I found odd. Check it out.
