I was the legal guardian for my sister who was in a nursing home. $37.00 a month was placed into a bank account every month for me to use for her clothes, body wash, hair items and other needs she may need. Everything else she needed came out of my pocket. I am retired so I live on a fixed income but, my younger sister would always come first. Before I became her guardian she was mentally abused and sexually abused by her husband. He had her living in a hotel and was feeding her drugs and alcohol which in the end caused her to have a stroke. (He kept her away from her family) after her stroke he let her lay in bed for two days before he called Ambulance For her to go to a hospital. He didn’t even go with her and the stroke affected her speech. I Lived my sister very much and went to see her almost every day and some days I was there 12 hours. I didn’t care . I myself have a lot of immunity issues but she kept me going for her. Needless to say her husband disappeared . When they closed the home she was in to all visitors I would go to her window and wave and throw kisses to her. She was not getting the care she needed since I wasn’t there. I would call them and plead with them to please get her up out of her bed because she had lung issues and I was afraid for her. She ended up passing away April 25th. She caught covid 19.ended up dieing from not getting enough oxygen. I will never forgive myself because I feel I should have pushed the home harder. After she passed I couldn’t afford to have a funeral for her . I had her cremated because that was all I could do. I couldn’t get anything from Medicaid or Social Security. Because I am not her husband who was the one who caused all of this to begin with. Where is the justice in this? I will keep her ashes until I die and have told my kids to put her with me. I felt I needed to tell my story to some one. There are other people out there that I’m sure are going through the same thing. And I hope the home she was in doesn’t get the $1200.00 . Thank you for reading this

I’m really sorry what happened. My heart goes out to you. I agree, it was a terrible injustice, and her husband will absolutely reap what he sowed, in spades!?

Non filer was what you should have used, even if you had no income. Until the SSA is up and running again, you won’t have any answers on your pending case.

I hope there is a way get what believe is a balance due me and my wife. We need it

Go to http://www.IRS.gov. the box at the top right corner says get my payment. Click that, follow the directions. If your payment has been scheduled, the information will be there. If it says that they don’t have information, check back every day,as it will say that until the payment has been scheduled.
