mother and daughter on computer by fireplaceGathering with family and friends during the holiday season reminds us we’re part of a strong community. And sometimes, in the spirit of the season, we break into song. Our take on “The Twelve Days of Christmas” — a holiday favorite since 1780 — highlights the national community we care for all year long. We call it “The Twelve Sites of Social Security.”

For the first site of Social Security, we give to you: our home page. It’s the place to go for all things Social Security. Everything you could want — from online services and benefit screening tools to publications and frequently asked questions — you can find all these and more on this site.

For the second site of Social Security, we give to you: our hub for Social Security news and updates at our blog.

For the third site of Social Security, we give to you: an easy way to learn how to replace your Social Security card. And in some states, you can replace it online with a personal my Social Security account!

For the fourth site of Social Security, we give to you: an online application for retirement benefits that you can complete and submit in as little as 15 minutes on our Apply for Social Security Benefits page.

For the fifth site of Social Security, we give to you: five estimates of your future Social Security benefits! Or as many estimates as you would like using different scenarios. Get instant, personalized estimates of your future benefits.

For the sixth site of Social Security, we give to you: a convenient way to apply for disability benefits.

For the seventh site of Social Security, we give to you: fun and informative videos on our YouTube channel.

For the eighth site of Social Security, we give to you: Extra Help with Medicare prescription drug plan costs. You can learn more and apply for a subsidy online.

For the ninth site of Social Security, we give to you: our convenient publication library with online booklets and pamphlets on numerous subjects.

For the tenth site of Social Security, we give to you: one of our most popular social media outlets, our Facebook page. This is where we engage thousands of customers and you can join the conversation.

For the eleventh site of Social Security, we give to you: answers to your Social Security related questions at our Frequently Asked Questions page.

On the twelfth site of Social Security (and we saved the best for last): open your own personal my Social Security account. This will enable you to verify your earnings, get future benefit estimates, obtain benefit verification letters, update your Social Security information, and more.

And a partridge in a pear tree! Find all of this and more (except the partridge and pear tree) on our website.

    Hi,

This article has some great info. Our team here tried sharing it with our community but some social media platforms didn’t allow the share because of a problem with your security certificate.

Just a heads up. Let us know when you fix it, we’d love to spread your content.

I don’t know why they called it a raise I will be receiving the same amount and I mean exactly the same amount I have been receiving for the past four years. While I have been getting on less my congressman and my senator have been getting raise after raise while they do less and less for me and my fellow men. I do pray that Mr Trump means it when he says that there should be a limit to the time that this people should be in Washington. They should go for a visit not for a stay or make a home there.

Even though we have all these up & downs with our govt. & our SS, Medicare, Medicaid & practically NO COLA this year, plus the increase in the Medicare part B for the coming year, nonetheless we take 5 minutes to wish everyone around us & in this blog :
A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS & A VERY HEALTHY, SAFE & PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL…….
    GOD BLESS

&qquu; We?&toot; The folks at Samson Blinded, JTF and Virtual Medinat Yehudah don't agree with your "we". Nor do the gals at Women in Green. Or the fellows in the black hats who hang out with R. Wolpe.Pick one set and stick with it. There is no "we" left in Israel. The Jews must win and the Israelis must lose, or else we are all dead men.

I thought the 12 Sites of Social Security was very creative and clever…well done! I also hope you hear, at least sometimes, what great work you do. Both Social Security and Medicare do an amazing job especially considering the many, many people using the services and the complexities of the work. Once again, well done!

    • R.F.

Thank you Chris! We value your opinion of us and look forward to many more years of serving you in the future.

    • Donna

Amen. I totally agree with you Chris. I would be living in the streets without my SSID. I’m so grateful to live in the Great USA. Just look at all the countries that don’t help their citizens at all. It’s just so sad.

    • Lisa

Yes, yes, yes and I can't wait. I love evhetyring you mentioned! Miracle on 34th St. was awesome on the big screen last night 🙂 My trees are being put up tomorrow however it will take a few weeks to decorate them!!!

I am applying for Dissability because I have Heart Trouble and I have already suffered a stroke. I have worked 42 years out of my life. I started on 1977.

    • AKA

Good for you, why do we need to know that?

  9. ben

Is everyone enjoying the great COLA raise you got in your stocking this year? Or did you notice the FLIM FLAM and you really did not get one even though THEY said you would.

    • Chad

I wish Congress would give us back $5 an hour that they keep giving themselves a raise whenever they freaking bastards don’t need it they take advantage of the taxpayers

      • Joseph N.

        Vote them out, not in.
        It could be easy.
They make politics a career instead of a short time honor

Some people are never happy with anything. Grow up and accept life the way it is–it doesn’t last long.

Get the federal government to pay all profit to those that

    • Brenda

Probably by knowing it’s always Dec. 25 and using some of LAST month’s check to prepare for the things due before THIS month’s check arrives ;o)

      • Lee

        Good One, Brenda

      • Tpowe
