Submitting Fraud Allegations to the OIG

The SSA Office of the Inspector General (OIG) has determined that, due to a computer error, it did not receive any fraud allegations submitted through its online fraud-reporting form from 3:30 p.m. on Monday, September 10 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.
If you submitted an allegation during this time period, please re-submit your allegation online, or you may call the OIG’s fraud hotline at 1-800-269-0271. Thank you.

I have received a call which I believe to be a scam– telling me that my social security number has been suspended and asked to call 215-284-5267. I did try to make a report to your hotline (300-269-0271) but was given a confusing but limited number of options and my requests/statements were not understood by the automated system.

Me and my wife have been getting phone calls from someone stating they were with the IRS and our numbers are subject to being recalled due to suspicious activity in our area. Three phone numbers I wrote down are, #1-915-512-0316, #2-917-512-0316, #513-830-2873. Any more calls I will send the numbers to you.

I just receivd a call stating there was suspicious activity on my social security account. The caller verified my name and city and state of my residence then asked for the last 4 of my social secutitty number. I thought the call was legitimate, because of a lengthy hospitalization. Then the caller asked how any bank accounts I had. The number that came up on my caller ID is 855-327-1982.

ten days ago i received a call the caller said that i should call the following social security number 6184244303
i did and a Jeffrey Brown answered his ID 2564. he said that my security number was being used in el PASO TEXAS Case no CK231462 involving a lot of cocaine more than 200 pounds was found in a house there. He connected me to ALan White who reiterated the same and that several bank accounts were opened in my name for over 200.000 dollars . He wanted to know if had been in el Paso….I said no , He wanted to know if I had any bank accounts I said The wells fargo ( stupidly ) He said I shouldn’t do anything that HE woukd write to me , ( he did not ) He ended the conversation.
TODAY, I recived anither call and was given a tel number to call 3322030926. I didnt call , I think t is some scam !
I am worried , please answer this note with some advise

On today, my husband, Michael A. Edinburgh called me at 10:39 a.m. to report that he just received a call from a person named Oscar Allen from the Social Security Administration at 10:20 a.m. today, 8/6/19, desk #4170, phone # 1822-798-7228. Mr. Allen stated to him that numerous bank account had been open in his name under his social security number and this was a case of money laundering and that he needed his banking account information, routing number,etc. I immediately asked if he had given him any information. Michael stated that he had not given him anything. I told him that the social security office will not call you directly and asked for this type of information and that this was a scam. He stated that he could hear a lot of noise in the background. He hung up the phone. I stated that still this was a scam and I would be reporting it to the Federal Trade Commission or the proper authorities. Seniors are a major target these days. Michael was at work at the time.

If you suspect someone is using your Social Security number, you should go to http://www.idtheft.gov and report the theft to the Federal Trade Commission or call 1-877-IDTHEFT (1-877-438-4338). I received a robo phone call today (8/5/2019) about 4:30 Albuquerque, NM time.
The caller stated that there was a problem detected and that the SSA was going to suspend my SS#.
I believe this is a fraud, but would like to here back the the Social Security Admin. representative to tell me that it was a fraud and what I can do to protect myself.
Please send me a time and day when I can call one of your offices or give me the phone number of the local office here in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Keep receiving calls that my ss number has been suspended. Your office tells me that this is not so. The numbers that I have saved for these calls are: 800-325-0778. 0115745956181, 11-866-366-9549, 01190044368373.

Received two calls stating my SS# has been compromised. I didn’t answer the call so both went
to voice mail and I still have the recordings.
