“Today, the Court issued clarifying guidance about the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) related to DOGE employees and DOGE activities at the Social Security Administration (SSA). Therefore, I am not shutting down the agency. President Trump supports keeping Social Security offices open and getting the right check to the right person at the right time. SSA employees and their work will continue under the TRO.”

Why on earth would you scare social security recipients this way? Millions of Americans rely on their social security checks to survive every month. How dare you threaten to cut off OUR MONEY!

So WHAT is the plan for April benefit payments? It would be most helpful to understand whether or not I can expect my check to be issued to my bank. It’s very disturbing to have reckless politicians and various un elected people snooping around in my personal affairs and EARNED retirement funds. I feel violated!

Why doesn’t the link in the email direct us right to this blog? And why is this blog not at the top when you search “blog”?

Acting Commissioner Dudek it was wrong of you to threaten to shut down SSA. You really need to rethink your partnership with people who only want to tear down in secret instead of being transparent and going through official channels.

WHAT???? Are you telling me it took a TRO to keep your agency up and running????!! You have GOT to be kidding me! Your administration needs to STOP PICKING ON ELDERLY AND DISABLED PEOPLE! Trump and Musk’s goal of privatizing SSA and yet again, trying to make a buck off the American people is beyond obscene. Tell THEM to pay into the program themselves before they pretend there is rampant “fraud, waste and abuse” within the SSA. In the blog last week, you yourself wrote that the claims that millions were being erroneously paid to dead people was false. Musk told Joe Rogan that Social Security was a “big ponzi scheme!” Fraud waste and abuse in this current administration and GOP-held Congress means “smokescreen” to cya.

Thanks to all social security workers doing their best to serve us. I know from experience (with other work) how challenging it can be to navigate outdated software systems, and while I am glad that newer systems are on their way in I am very grateful you are there to help with the transition. I remember how kind and helpful my caseworker was in 2021.

Trump and his team will shut this down and try to figure out a way to take the money. That’s money we have all worked for and saved and that we rely upon for our retirement. Stop the Steal indeed!

Thank you to the Social Security officials for protecting citizen’s sensitive personal data under the TRO and for clarifying with the current administration the need to continue to get SS checks out in a timely manner.
