No Need to Visit a Field Office: Replace Your SSA-1099 Benefit Statement Online

The Benefit Statement is also known as the SSA-1099 or the SSA-1042S. Now you have the ability to download it anytime and anywhere you want using our online services. There’s no need to visit a field office.
An SSA-1099 is a tax form Social Security mails each year in January to people who receive Social Security benefits. It shows the total amount of benefits you received from Social Security in the previous year so you know how much Social Security income to report to IRS on your tax return.
If you currently live in the United States and you need a replacement form SSA-1099 or SSA-1042S, simply go online and request an instant, printable replacement form with a personal my Social Security account.
A replacement SSA-1099 or SSA-1042S is typically available for the previous tax year after February 1.
If you already have a personal my Social Security account, you should access your online account and go to “Replacements Documents” to view and print your SSA-1099 or SSA-1042S. If you don’t have access to a printer, you can save the document on your computer or laptop and email it. If you don’t have a personal my Social Security account, creating a secure account is very easy to do and usually takes less than 15 minutes.
If you’re a noncitizen who lives outside of the United States and you received or repaid Social Security benefits last year, we will send you form SSA-1042S instead. The forms SSA-1099 and SSA-1042S are not available for people who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

Hello, I am the representative payee for my disabled sister Lois Lawrence. Soc. Sec. # *** – ** – ***. She needs a Benefit Statement to re-certify for her low income apartment. Is there a way to get this copy online?

If you have a my Social Security account, you can access the Representative Payee Portal to get a proof of income letter for the individual you are representative payee for. If you still need to report a late, missing or stolen Social Security payment, call us at 1-800-772-1213 for assistance or you can contact your local Social Security office. Hi John, thank you for your question. Social Security retirement, survivors, or disability beneficiaries and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients who do not have qualifying children under age 17 do not need to take any action with the IRS. You will automatically receive your $1,200 economic impact payment directly from the IRS. You should receive the automatic payments by direct deposit, Direct Express debit card, or by paper check, just as you would normally receive your Social Security benefits. Treasury expects automatic payments for Social Security beneficiaries no later than the end of April and automatic payments for SSI recipients no later than early May. We hope this helps.

If your medicare premiums are greater than your social security benefits, you will receive no Form SSA-1099. There is no duplicate Form SSA-1099 available on my account website, and most of your employees do not know how to supply this information. How do I get this info without having to make multiple phone calls, until I get the right person?

I started receiving ssi benefits, in the month of October 2019, I have been reading the IRS post updates but it seems to be a oxymoron first they tell you to get tax information from 2018 and 2019, then they tell us that they will work directly with the ssa board and get our stimulus money
sent to us on our direct express or credit union or banks, or some may get paper checks, if the IRS IS USING THE SSA BOARDS DATA BASE THERE SHOULDN’T BE NO REASON WHY WE HAVE TO HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL I FORMATION ABOUT OUR PAST TAX INFORMATION JUST SAYING PLAIN AND SIMPLE WHERE IS OUR RELIEVE STIMULAS MONEY, OUR BILLS, AND NEEDING FOOD AND SURVIVING IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE NEXT PERSON, OR AMERICAN trying to keep track of everything, but feeling highly let down by our own Government, IRS, SSA Board, My Credit Union, and so forth

I am a 67 year old and hadn’t received my deposit or check! Would like to know what I need to do. I draw a check with direct deposit. But hadnt received a letter or money. Hadnt filed taxes in years because i was on dissability until 65 then was changed to regular Social Security. I think i derserve my payment as well as anyone else. Thanks

Good morning I’m receiving SSI and SSDI and haven’t received my stimuless check , my other friends who also receive the same benefits I do have received their check’s I’m worried I have bills to pay and other necessary things I need to buy and don’t have the money to pay for these things, where is my check I have a direct deposit account were my regular SSI and SSDI checks go when am I going to see my check IRS where is my help.

I am a Federal Retiree. I just found out that I will be receiving a paper check because my electronic deposit of the $1,200.00 was returned. When I filed my 2018 tax returns I had a different checking account #. In July of 2018 I closed that account to take off my Granddaughter’s name & place my daughters name on my account instead. On my 2019 taxes I have a new account #. It’s the same routing # because it’s the same bank just the new account #. How do I correct this so if there are future monies it will be deposited in the correct account? I would appreciate any help you can give. Thank you. Delores Morris
