woman looking on phoneThe Acting Inspector General of Social Security, Gale Stallworth Stone, is warning citizens about an ongoing Office of the Inspector General (OIG) impersonation scheme.  The OIG has recently received reports from citizens about suspicious phone calls claiming to be from the Acting Inspector General.

The reports indicate the caller identifies as “Gale Stone” and states the person’s Social Security number (SSN) is at risk of being deactivated or deleted.  The caller then asks the person to call a provided phone number to resolve the issue.  Citizens should be aware that the scheme’s details may vary; however, citizens should avoid engaging with the caller or calling the number provided, as the caller might attempt to acquire personal information.

The Acting Inspector General urges citizens to be cautious, and to avoid providing information such as your SSN or bank account numbers to unknown persons over the phone or internet unless you are certain of who is receiving it.  If you receive a suspicious call from someone alleging to be the Acting Inspector General or from the OIG, you should report that information to the OIG at 1-800-269-0271 or online via https://oig.ssa.gov/report.

This is about Caroline Soric dob:02/01/89. She collecting a check for her daughter Kairi Soric from a gentleman JP Sorics benefits he is not the biological father. They are not together anymore yet she is still collecting. She moved from New Jersey to Ohio where the cost of living is cheaper. So now she has more than enough to pay her bills yet she has money left over to fuel her drug habit. I think this is wrong. Her address in Ohio is 333 Pine St. Coshocton,Oh 43812. You will most likely be at her mom’s that address is 453 3rd St. Coshocton,Oh they normal are smoking drugs at night leaving Kairi down stairs she is 15 months old. The supposite biological father was there but left due to Caroline’s habit. Please look into this. I don’t see why she relishes the fact as she puts it use the system for everything she can get. I wasn’t going to say anything but she needs to be held accountable for her actions.

And only 19;out of the millions who receive ss will be tokens to prove it and send is doing the correct actions. While the rest of us are getting screwed for ss laziness and gross errors in paying us what we ate due.

On July 30, 2019, at 11:50am, I received a call on my cell phone, I didn’t recognize the number therefore didn’t answer it The number was 1-889-068-3123 and showed United states as the caller. They left a voice mail saying ” this call is from the Department of Social Security Administration. The reason you have received this call from our department is to inform you that we just suspended your Social Security number because we found some suspicious activity so if you want to know about this case just press one. Thank you

Just received a letter from Social Security Admin, WSU, PO Box 4117, Richmond, CA 94804, dated July 01, 2019; BNC# 19D1830J68979; to call “Mr. Salvador” at (510) 970-4591 in order to obtain “additional information in order to process a transaction attempted with my name and some personal information.” Is this something I should respond to? It seems a little unusual, as I have been corresponding directly online with SSA with their website. The letter states that there is an office that serves this area in Redwood City, CA 94063-1544 located at 601 Allerton Street, but the listed phone number for that office is (800) 772-1213. Thank-you

18338798474 called me with a thick European Indian accent. He was aware of some homes I’d recently sold but wanted me to give him my ssn as verification I was the individual to whom he was speaking. Needless to say I did not provide the information and he hung up the phone.
