I tried for an hour last night to get a new password for my SSA account. I don’t know why my old password was no longer good. I verified my email, and phone, and then it wanted me to take a picture of my passport. I did and you said you couldn’t read it. At midnight I gave up.
Can I talk to a real person. I need my 2018 and 2019 statement of benefits, or 1099 for re-financing my mortgage. I am 80 years old, try to keep up with technology…..but your program had me beat.

Hi ! my husban, pass away in may, whow I have his pencion? Thanks.

We are very sorry for your loss. If your husband worked long enough under Social Security, there may be benefits payable to survivors. You may be eligible for reduced widows benefits as early as age 60 (age 50 if disabled) and at any age if caring for the deceased’s child who is under age 16 or disabled and receiving benefits on the deceased’s record. Survivor benefit amounts are based on your husband’s earnings. The more he paid into Social Security, the higher the benefits would be. The benefits will not be established automatically, you will have to contact us. For additional information, visit our Survivors Planner.
You can call us at 1-800-772-1213 for assistance or you can contact your local Social Security office. Please look for the general inquiry telephone number at the Social Security Office Locator. The number may appear under Show Additional Office Information. Please be aware that our call wait times are longer than normal. We hope this information helps.

I am unable to get or print a copy of my SSA-1099 for tax year 2019. The link I am using for this comment is dated Feb, 2019 – thus for tax year 2018. I have tried in vain to do a new password – for user name NEWBOB1720 – which I was able to do Baltixxx@41 successfully, When I tried to sign in again to mySSAcount, I was next told that my User Name, above, was wrong – even though, only moments ago – I used that name – to get the NEW password, above. THIS SHOULD NOT BE SUCH A PAIN IN THE AXX!! p.s. A FEW WEEKS AGO i UPDATED MY MAILING ADDRESS, WHERE POSSIBLY, the actual SSA-1099 had been sent, but not forwarded. Prior 10 N Calvert St, 21202 MD, to new 612 Wyeth Street, MD 21230, 443-xxx-8066 bclark.consult@hotmail.com. HELP!!
