I would like to know when I will be receiving my check. I am completely broke, anything you can tell me will be helpful. Thank you.
Mary S.
Well first off if you dont work to offset your income than you shouldnt technically need the stimulus and be thankful your getting it. I get disability and didnt lose hours therefore still paid my bills as usual. BUT you should receive unless you owe back child support then it goes to that custodial parent. If you just started this year receiving and didnt file 2018 2019 taxes i personally recommend fill out non filers form to be safe. Best of luck to you.
George B.
I just started receiving social security retirement in April 2020 but have not filed 2018 and 2019 taxes will l receive a stimulus check?
V.V.
Hi George, thank you for your question. If you did not file a tax return for 2019 or 2018 and you’re a new Social Security beneficiary, you should use the IRS’ Non-Filer: Enter Payment Info Here tool to receive their own $1,200 payment and $500 payment for qualifying children. You may only enter non-Direct Express bank account information for direct deposit, or leave bank information empty to receive a paper check by mail.
Samantha M.
Do people on ssi have to apply for the stimulus
A.C.
Hi, Samantha. Social Security retirement, survivors, or disability beneficiaries and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients who do not have qualifying children under age 17 do not need to take any action with the IRS. You will automatically receive your $1,200 economic impact payment directly from the IRS. You should receive the automatic payments by direct deposit, Direct Express debit card, or by paper check, just as you would normally receive your Social Security benefits. Treasury expects automatic payments for Social Security beneficiaries no later than the end of April and automatic payments for SSI recipients no later than early May. We hope this helps.
Mary S.
No. Should be automatic. Unless you just started receiving in January then i would fill out a non filers just to be safe.
Mary S.
Shouldnt have to unless you started after the first of the year then to be safe file a non filers form on irs.gov
Rickey E.
When is the stimulus payment going to be deposits for people on ssa.
And will they know if the person on ssa are married
A.C.
Hi, Rickey. Treasury, not Social Security, will be making automatic Economic Income Payments to eligible people. Unfortunately, we do not have information about the exact schedule for these payments. Treasury anticipates these payments to go out to Social Security retirement, survivors, and disability insurance beneficiaries starting around the end of April and to Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients starting in early May. Continue to check the Internal Revenue Service Coronavirus Tax Relief and Economic Impact Payments page for updates. Thanks.

P.S. thank you for your service.

You can actual go on irs.gov and go to “get my payment “ and check to see when yours is coming. They updated it so people who get government checks are able to check. Mine said April 29th.
Brad
