Today, Social Security officially launched a newly redesigned homepage to improve online service to beneficiaries and the American public. This redesigned homepage provides a more-user friendly experience and encourages you to sign up for a personal my Social Security account to handle your Social Security business from anywhere, on any device.

The new and improved homepage can be accessed at www.ssa.gov.

Improvements to Our Homepage

Our redesigned homepage includes:

  • Increased visibility for my Social Security account sign-up and sign-in. The updated homepage makes it easier for you to view benefit estimates, apply for benefits, check application status, or request a replacement card.
  • New Life events section and webpages guide you if you’re unsure where to start, helping those who are facing life changes to better understand how we can support you. The new homepage provides entry points to more detailed resources for specific situations.
  • Enhanced access to third-party services. The redesigned homepage includes a dedicated section for third-party services, such as for employers, representative payees, appointed representatives, and government agencies.
  • “At a Glance” sections on new Life event webpages present key information up front, with options to access more detail as needed, while the homepage uses visual cues to categorize content.
  • Improved website infrastructure that allows our team to easily make improvements based on user feedback and analytics.

Visit www.ssa.gov today to explore the new homepage and discover how these improvements can help you manage your Social Security needs more efficiently.

The “My Social Security account” still for people that only live in the USA? We all have a social security number why not just go by name and social why people has to specify where you live. Sometimes it’s hard to get hold of people at the embassies that correspond to your country.

There is no mention about the Ticket to Work Program or how Social Security beneficiaries can go back to work!

I commend SSA for modernizing the agency with the latest changes. Keep doing that!

I also encourage steps to weed out unqualified recipients from continuing to illegally receive benefits that they never should have received.

I went to my local SSA branch office, was waited on by a very courteous and efficient staffer, got my mailed payment changed to direct deposit. Hourlong wait, but staffer was pleasant and professional. Worth my wait to get good service!

“A Better Online Experience” … ABSOLUTE RUBBISH. If Government wants to better protect members’ information, do it in a way actual users can understand. What your teenage programmers have created is absurdly complicated and very poorly explained. And member support … don’t get me started on that. I already have a Login.ID account. Logging in, I received a security code, which took me to my personal info page. Now what? No instruction or ability on this page, to move on. Only choice to go further is to close. I’d say that is backwards, not forward. Where is my Account info?
