Last Updated: March 17, 2021

Beginning today, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will issue Economic Impact Payments (EIP) to approximately 1.4 million SSI recipients with representative payees and 10.4 million Social Security beneficiaries with representative payees.

The IRS will issue the EIPs via direct deposit and Direct Express starting today, May 22, to the same direct deposit account or Direct Express card as the recipient’s monthly Social Security or SSI payment. Paper check EIPs will be mailed starting May 27.

Visit www.ssa.gov/coronavirus/#reppayee to learn about EIPs and representative payees. You can find the eligibility requirements and other information about the EIPs at the IRS’ Economic Impact Payment Information Center.

I didn’t get any economic impact payments and I desperately need money. My parents are intentionally and maliciously keeping me homeless in Chicago and away from family because they hate me. They call me a liar and drug addict and everything they do is what I am called, because they are assuming I am going to tell the world about their alcohol and anorexia problems and my sister Lisa and her husband Ben’s addictions because he is a doctor. So they have falsely defamed my good name in my home snd even called my doctors and priest at my church to lie about me! I make steps to regain freedom and then my father makes sure I know he has control of my mail and all my personal artwork and he will tell people that I am crazy and he never beat the shit out of me or strangled me blue. My siblings have totally been cut off and I imagine my mom’s strategy is to divide everyone. But I’m hopeless and she won’t even get money obtained from her credits that would help me survive on SSI. I need full SSDI coverage or I’m going to die, and I don’t even wanna live if I have to cower before my parents daily asking for additional money or help and get berated until I’m in tears.

Will the stimulus payments go against my social security benefits, I am over 62 and receiving benefits

  3. Jeffery M.

Me and my soon to be ex-wife received our initial stimulus payment with each of our children receiving the $500 payment. Then a few weeks later each child received an additional $1200 direct deposit into their individual bank accounts, which I was told on 6-29-20 that it was an overpayment.
My soon to be ex-wife will not send in my son’s overpayment and is trying to get me out in jail for not giving her all the other money. How to I prove to the judge that the extra $1200 was an overpayment and needed to be sent back.

I know this has nothing to do w/ social security. But I’m downright sad about the babies and children getting this virus and dying. I been taught from early that children don’t have a strong immune system yet. Till they grow older Into the mid teens. Children get sick from careless adults. No one gives a hoot about this virus. But i do some do . wear that mask . keep distance no large groups . remember its air-bourne and on surface’s . my words fall on deaf ears . children need to live and grow . to have a right in this world. What could have been is no more they didn’t get that chance. Please protect the children their the future if they have that chance. All lives matter. Can we make it right?

      • William J.

Cigarette smoking helps prevent you from getting the virus. Otherwise wear a patch. I don’t have time to read what you two chickadees are arguing about on a SSA website.
