Veterans Day 2022Veterans Day is on Friday, November 11, 2022. Every year on this day, we honor all veterans who served our country and risked their lives to protect us.

Our Wounded Warriors webpage is an important resource for military members who return home with injuries. If you know a wounded veteran, please let them know about our Wounded Warriors webpage.

The page shares information about our Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits for veterans, including:

  • How SSDI benefits are different from benefits available through the Department of Veterans Affairs and require a separate application.
  • How we expedite the processing of Social Security disability claims for service members. If they develop a disability while on active military service on or after October 1, 2001, they can file a disability claim regardless of where the disability occurs.
  • Answers to questions asked about Social Security.

If active-duty military service members are unable to work due to a disabling condition and continue to receive pay while in a hospital or on medical leave, they should consider applying for SSDI. Active-duty status and receipt of military pay doesn’t necessarily prevent payment of SSDI benefits.

Our webpages are easy to share on social media and by email with your friends and family. Please consider passing this information along to someone who may need it.

Very good and well-written article for this great topic. I am really pleased to hear about those heroes who served our country and risked their lives to protect us.

It is quite difficult to understand for me. Can you make the second part of this article. I loved to see these types of articles. But one thing I have to say that the Veterans are the real heroes of the country as they gives their body to the security of their world

There is a big difference in the (Determinations by other government agencies and nongovernmental entities. 20 C.F.R. 404.1504) and (How we consider and articulate medical opinions and prior administrative medical findings for claims filed on or after March 27, 2017. 20 C.F.R. 404.1520c).

The 100% VA rating and Individual Unemployability is a determination made by the “rating agency” and not VA C&P medical examiners.

The 100% VA disability rating is a determination made by a non medical source (rating agency). The SSA does not have to be articulated the non medical source determination under 20 C.F.R. 404.1520c or provide any analysis under 20 C.F.R. 404.1504.

The VA physicians opinions is different from the VA C&P medical examiners opinion. One has an ongoing relationship and the other doesn’t.

The VA C&P medical examiners have no ongoing treating relationship or examination relationship under 20 C.F.R. 404.1520c.

The SSA cannot trust the VA rating agency. The VA rating agency gives away free disability money like they are handing out free candy at the counter to visitors.

The VA rating agency is incompetent too. Under 38 C.F.R. 3.353, the rating agency rates veterans mentally incompetent for purpose of life insurance (38 U.S.C. 1922).
The VA doesn’t even offer the life insurance 38 U.S.C. 1922 to veterans anymore. Veterans cannot apply within two years after the appointment of a guardian or within two years after the removal of the disability.

The rating agency takes away the veteran’s second amendment rights under the U.S Constitution and doesn’t even offer the veterans the life insurance.

Only a federal law can take away the veteran Constitution rights and not a federal regulation. 38 U.S.C. 1922 is a federal law for a life insurance the VA no longer offers to veterans. The purpose is to rate the veteran mentally incompetent is for life insurance and not disability benefits. The VA rating agency is mentally incompetent. It is like the blind leading the blind.

I agree with some of your points. I don’t think the VA rating agency gives away free disability money like they are handing out free candy. There are Vietnam Veterans and more, that are still waiting for disability claims.

Life Insurance will be available January 2023 for Veterans with any level of service-connected disability. The life insurance prigram is Veterans Affairs Life Insurance (VALife).

I need to understand this more. Also
I served at a USAF base, HILL AFB at the time while it was an active SUPERFUND Base, toxic chemicals active. I since developed Breast CA, which I believe a direct result of chemicals and occurrences at the base, at the time. Camp LeJeune?
There are so many other military bases besides it where service members were/are being damaged by said chemicals. I should be at100% service connected but am not courtesy at least one claim, a VA CLERK NOT ALLOWING ME TO GET A C&P exam, see a doctor for

You show a list of earnings for Social Security, but not a list of the years used for the tabulation of benefit payments, why not?
