Received a call about 2pm on 12/17/19 stating and I quote as close as I can remember:
“This is a call from Social Security Administration. Call us back at 866-208-6295. I repeat 866-208-6295.” They hung up!
I did not call them back and I wrote down the information right away so I could report it accurately to SS.

Hi, Enid. Thanks for letting us know. Generally, we will only contact you if you have requested a call or have ongoing business with us. Recently, scams—misleading victims into making cash or gift card payments to avoid arrest for Social Security number problems—have skyrocketed. Our employees will never threaten you for information or promise a benefit in exchange for personal information or money.

If you receive a suspicious call like this: 1) Hang up. 2) Do not provide personal information, money, or retail gift cards. 3) Report suspicious calls here. For more information on how to protect yourself, check out our Frequently Asked Questions. We hope this helps.

I have been scammed yesterday. When a call, from an\
ss. Agent came on my landline, threatening me, intimidating and scaring me, into submitting my s.s. #.
i am reporting this after failing all day to talk to someone
    on the phone.

These people told me my Case# DCl7010 with a warrant #537542 against me would be forthcoming.
They wanted my bank accts., and to wire them money,
buy buying “bonds” at “Sam”s Club” I should never
have listened to them. But unfortunately i did.
I hope at some point i can talk to a real person, realizing
SS is overwhelmed with this outrage.

I received a call from someone saying they were from social security and there was a problem with my account. They said if I did not reply they would take action against me. The number they call came from was 832-497-5206, this is a Texas number. I did not respond.

This morning I received 3 calls from Baytown, Texas with the phone number of 1-832-262-4949 claiming that my social security number was going to be blocked and legal action was going to be brought against me. I did not answer the calls and did not respond to the voice mail.
I do not know if this is the correct place to report this incident. I am not proficient in navigating the web.

I have also received calls again telling me that I am being sued by the SSA. when I asked for his EE number and name he told me his name was Chris Thompson and his EE number was 19592. The call came from (803)485-1054. Colombia, SC. I have also received calls from (951)579 6528. telling me to return their call immediately as the SSA is suing me for fraud, left on my voice mail. along with (818)651-7868. same message, that my SSN is on hold for fraud, and a marshal will come to my home. I asked why I never got notice in the mail about any of this, and was told that I should have, and they would send out a copy to me.
