After seeing my SS retirement check pending in my checking account, it disappeared. My SS retirement check is not showing as pending anymore. My checks are scheduled for the 4th Wednesday of each month. Can you please explain? I have medical, dental and vision insurance to pay (taken out automatically) but now, I won’t be able to pay it.

Did your log into your SS benefits account to verify what happened? Please contact your local bank and SS office and to investigate. Fraudulent activity has happened to victims so do not delay.

Hello, Marie. Thank you for reading our blog. If you receive Social Security benefits you can create a personal my Social Security account and change your direct deposit online here. If you receive SSI payments and want to update direct deposit information, please call our toll-free number at 1-800-772-1213 for automated phone assistance. When you hear “How can I help you today?” say “direct deposit.” You will need to provide your routing number and account number. As a reminder, never post personal information online. If you do not receive your electronic payment on the scheduled pay date, please contact your bank or financial institution first. If you still need to report a late, missing, or stolen Social Security payment, contact us at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. We hope this helps.

It’s dangerous to put your banking information on a public website like this. I’m a regular citizen and can see your bank name and routing number, which means anyone can see it and thousands if not millions,.already have.

The staff at Social Security should delete this post. And yes, ever give out or publically post personal financial information. Marie, you may want to ask your bank to change your account number so you are not a victim of fraud.

Nice words, but little tooth to it as DOE seems to do whatever the heck it wants to do, and I don’t believe the little toadies have “read” only access.

Pretty words. I’d prefer someone explaining why cost of living increase is 2.5% while Medicare premium increase is 6.3%? Common thing. Not to mention the crazy reduction in benefits as well as a back pay midway through 2024. Not exactly helpful. Additionally, when will someone investigate the corruption between hospitals and Medicare? What’s being charged for services, DME, ect are paid out in some cases 10 times the actual cost.

I have applied for ssi. Multiple times and waited for my interview call at the prearranged time , phone in hand ,it rings once they hang up immediately. Party over I have to make another appoint to go through the same thing over and over I applied in 5/11/24 fully eligible.

What he said in fine. He said exactly what people want to hear. Lying is a common tool used by this administration. They have proven they know how and when to use it. This makes it significantly hard to believe anything they say or write.

I agree, I’ve been dealing with this overpayment for 7 years now, almost got it paid off but when they first notified me about it, they couldn’t or wouldn’t tell me what it was from. Time and time again I walked in or called ssi office. Still never got a straight answer.

Thank you Mr. Dudek. As someone who is 56 and getting closer to SS, I have always felt that politicians will steal my earnings prior to retirement and I would not see a penny.
DOGE is a god send and the people screaming about it are very quiet about the corruption and waste that is being discovered on an almost hourly basis.
We need to protect SS at all costs and I am happy that changes at the top are being made.

Prove that the boy wonders know what they are doing and not just Muskrat’s bidding then I will accept your version of this administration’s quest to lower the deficit by firing millions of people and eliminating entire agencies.
The most efficient way to reduce the deficit is to have the billionaires pay their fair share of the income taxes instead of placing the burden on the average citizen.
From my readings Musk is going to recommend privatizing Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid.

, I suggest don’t band SSI payments while we are more than a month outside of USA , because we have old family in far from USA like Australia and if we want to visit them it surely takes more than a month . And we lose our health care program after that here in usa ,
