Statement from Acting Commissioner Dudek about Temporary Restraining Order
Reading Time: 1 MinuteLast Updated: March 26, 2025
“Today, the Court issued clarifying guidance about the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) related to DOGE employees and DOGE activities at the Social Security Administration (SSA). Therefore, I am not shutting down the agency. President Trump supports keeping Social Security offices open and getting the right check to the right person at the right time. SSA employees and their work will continue under the TRO.”

This guy is a nut! Are we supposed to thank him for not shutting down the agency that provides earned benefit checks to millions of Americans?

This agency needs to remain open so disabled and elderly people can survive with a modest amount of dignity.

Hurting Social Security will destroy America’s seniors who paid tens to hundreds of thousands in taxes to get it. Something ugly and frightening is happening in America’s White House.

I am 72 years old, and receiving your email tonight, caused great stress to me ALONG WITH ANGER.
I have worked since the age of 14 at a blouse-mill in a tiny town called Roseto PA…..Up until my recent retirement (after over 35 years as a civilian ‘Police Support Admin.’ within a police department) I have never been ‘between jobs’ ALWAYS BEING steadilly EMPLOYED AND ALWAYS PAYING INTO SOCIAL SECURITY. You probably cannot understand how I felt reading your words saying:
“Today, the Court issued clarifying guidance about the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) related to DOGE employees and DOGE activities at the Social Security Administration (SSA). Therefore, I am not shutting down the agency. That money belongs to the people who legally were made to pay it… actually taken directly from our paychecks by the government for the purpose of guaranteed income during the elderly years. You know fully well that anyone earning over
a set amount of earnings were exempt from having to pay anything higher than a middle income amount….ie: the wealthy.
So, in my opinion, no person has the legal right non any right at all to even speak of having any authority whatsoever to ‘shut down the social security’ and I take offense to read, even one thinking they have the authority to do so. I am considered a simple elderly woman who spent her whole life working for only a modest earnings because since age 17 I was ‘on my own’ without parents to support me, and of course I couldn’t afford college, had to turn down a scholarship to Penn State, due to not having the money to buy the $500. cost needed for the first year of classes, the rent to be paid and being a poor white girl without wealthy parents….guess being average… and unlucky in not being able to have children, my goals were the highest I could dream of…being independent was my greatest accomplishment in life. Oh, and YES I FINALLY have my elderly years of being able to live independently on my SOCIAL SECURITY INCOME .

Yeah, Dudek–you *do* have a choice: you can (A) protect our sensitive data and keep those ghouls’ hands off our money, or (B) wind up on the biggest shit list in the U.S. of A.
Just DO THE RIGHT THING, already.

Thank you very much for KEEPING Elon Musk OUT of the Social Security Department – HE IS NOT A FEDERAL EMPLOYEE AND HAS NO BUSINESS IN OUR PERSONAL PRIVATE INFORMATION! THE FACT THAT HE THINKS HE IS ENTITLED TO THAT ACCESS IS SHAMEFUL. AGAIN, THANK YOU!

PLEASE DO NOT LET DOGE INTO SOCIAL SECURITY DATA! I AM WORRIED MY SENSITIVE DATA IS NO LONGER SECURE – DUE TO ELON MUSK AND HIS DOGE. HE WAS NOT ELECTED NOR GONE THRU ANY CONFIRMATION SO WHY IS HE INVOLVED AT ALL?
MY MOM RELIES ON SOCIAL SECURITY – PLEASE DON’T DO ANYTHING THAT WOULD IMPACT HER GETTING HER BENEFITS.
THANK YOU.

Our one and only location in Grand Island, Nebraska does not except walk-ins. You must make an appointment. But when you call to make an appointment, nobody answers the phone. I’ve been holding for over three hours on multiple occasions.

That is the same way here in Rock Springs, WY. However, I found it easy to schedule my appt with the rock springs office on the ssa website. Might not be easy for someone with internet or a phone. but it works for me.
