“Today, the Court issued clarifying guidance about the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) related to DOGE employees and DOGE activities at the Social Security Administration (SSA). Therefore, I am not shutting down the agency. President Trump supports keeping Social Security offices open and getting the right check to the right person at the right time. SSA employees and their work will continue under the TRO.”

ssa is a service to the american people. it may need some revisions on its method of operation but that should be done BY CONGRESS, not doge.
it needs to be remembered that not everyone has access to the internet due to THEIR location, finances, mobility etc.
cutting costs is the job of the elected people, familiar with the workings of the government not people who make no attempt to understand the workings of the government.

Why would you attempt to shut down the agency? All judges orders should be followed and not doing so is illegal. DOGE should not be involved with my SS information. SS is my money that was paid in through years of hard work. SS has passed yearly audits. I prefer independent certified accountants and auditors examine and update records than a team of inexperienced Musk employees going through personal information that they have no right to access. Downsizing agencies only hurt the taxpayers accessibility to their benefits. Changes made should benefit SS recipients now and in the future not cause harm or destruction of services. We all want fraud or waste if any addressed but the savings should improve benefits and services not give tax breaks to the wealthy. Mr. Musk receives government subsidies and his outside interests and personal gain should disqualify him from involvement in any government agency. Anyone that is responsible for causing financial harm or chaos to Social Security and the elderly, disabled, widows and children receiving it should be held legally and financially responsible and punished.

The comment made that if people complain about not receiving a ss check are the one committing fraud is very hurtful. That is only income that my son and I receive. We would not have a place to live if someone in that office decided not to send out our checks. Why are they shutting down so many offices? This is very disappointing that Trumps staff would make such comments. I would like the president to please have a talk with his staff. This instills fear and panic for many. This does not help any persons medical condition with such statements being made.

Why are non-elected, non-contracted, non-government, non-classified people allowed access to the most sensitive personal information? I have no trust in you.

The administrator of the agency needs to resign after reckless statements he’ll shut the agency down after U.S. District Judge Ellen Lipton Hollander ruling. 80 million Americans paid into SS and depend on the benefits.

the problem with having Millionaires manage the retirement funds of the retired workers is that they think whatever they do for their retirement will also work for those at the poverty level or below.

Just words. I will never again feel secure that my ss money will come each month until I actually see it.

This is the fist that I have even heard about this. “The court issued a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) related to DOGE employees and DOGE activities at the Social Security Administration (SSA). Therefore, I am not shutting down the agency.” I didn’t realize that she was planning to shut it down. I hope the court orders a stop to DOGE, as far as I am concerned they have no business there to begin with.

….”effectively” closing the barn doors after it has burned down. I will not feel safe until this BOGUS “agency” gets the heck out of Dodge.
