“Today, the Court issued clarifying guidance about the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) related to DOGE employees and DOGE activities at the Social Security Administration (SSA). Therefore, I am not shutting down the agency. President Trump supports keeping Social Security offices open and getting the right check to the right person at the right time. SSA employees and their work will continue under the TRO.”

Impeach trump. Nobody voted for this. And I believe he and Elon cheated to win in 2024.
Elon had NO business being in the white house and threatening to take away my benefits.

Trump and the make believe office of DOGE aren’t listening to the judges. Until the WH stops borrowing money from SocSec and stop allowing President and a non elected people from accessing our information.. We won’t help safe with these “statements”.
That’s OUR money for OUR retirement. And if they keep this up, you’re going to have millions of people screaming “give us back what we paid into”.
I’ve been working since 16, (and yes taxes came out of my check) worked & paid taxes straight thru until I could’nt work any longer, I’m now 70. No one should have say so over mine or anybody else’s money!
Would they like us going into their accounts & SS#? I think not. This is insanity and SSA needs to stand up for us.

How absolutely ridiculous that you would even think to use closing the agency as a threat to bypass a court order. If there were specific issues with the TRO those should have been highlighted, their impact spelled out and your plan to work through them spelled out. What you did was unforgivable. I am sick and tired of the brinkmanship that’s become how the government works. Shame.

I do not like even the talk about shutting down social security. I imagine people now not getting their medication and going without food for fear that their social security will be taken from them. Trump Musk and Leland are all Evil people and must be stopped in their efforts to tear down the government.

What was the subject of the TRO? could you provide a link so we can read it for ourselves? What did the acting SSA director say to prompt this clarification? Most of us who receive Social Security paid SSA with every paycheck through our working lives with the promise that it would be paid back to us at a time when we could no longer work. Losing all or part of SSA would significantly impact lives of millions of Americans, causing them to be impoverished when they are unable to return to work after a lifetime of work.

I have written to both senators (New Mexico) and House representative. I have urged all to commit to a louder voice to stand up against this absolute insanity of the acting commissioner. The unions call it despicable. As do I and my fellow teachers. Entire families will be harmed by your heartless, gutless actions; your childish threats will be acknowledged at next year’s elections (Republicans are already hearing about it at their town hall meetings now but are told to shutter these – democracy be damned, right?) I have urged both U.S. senators from New Mexico to vote NO on any Trump nominee for this department until guarantees are made. This is our money that we have paid into the system; some of us for decades (I’m 68). Your immature behavior is rattling Republicans as well. This isn’t politics, nor is it a political fight. It’s a despicable, hateful response from someone who has no business being in charge. The elections in 2026 won’t get here fast enough.
    Shame on you.
