“Today, the Court issued clarifying guidance about the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) related to DOGE employees and DOGE activities at the Social Security Administration (SSA). Therefore, I am not shutting down the agency. President Trump supports keeping Social Security offices open and getting the right check to the right person at the right time. SSA employees and their work will continue under the TRO.”

It looks like it is too late. DOGE must have already either been hacked or given the data to bad actors. I just received a spam text to my phone that asked for a confirmation to purchase on Amazon and referenced my bank and was sent to my cell phone number. The only place that would have both of these is the Social Security Administration. Our worst nightmares about our information being compromised has just been realized. God protect us all.

If you have nothing to hide then why are you fighting to let the DODGE team do its job. We pay for social security out of of our wages and to let Illegals get one penny of it & to have people stealing its by fraud applications for social security payments really angers me to say the least. STOP giving anything to illegals an by fraudulent applications!!!!!!!!

Your anger Carolyn is another example of the fear of change. It is coming and you will need to accept that the voters overwhelmingly voted for this need to eliminate fraud, waste, and abuse in the SS Agency and all other government operations. Hang on a sit is going to be a great ride.

there was no “overwhelmingly” vote for this “need” to eliminate your anything. You are painfully mislead. The vote was only 49%.

The wording of this statement is quite clear. Prior to the court intervention, the acting commissioner was literally going to shut down SSA.

    That’s really disturbing.

Why in the world would the acting commissioner issue such a statement if not only to cause confusion and fear. Please get Doge out of official federal government business and get workers back to work.

How long will it take before Mr Trump and Mr Musk shut down Social Security. I paid into this my entire life and I am afraid it won’t be there when I finally do retire. Those 2 are poison for our country.

You idiot, Musk is helping to save Social Security by finding and eliminating fraud and waste. He is not making any cuts to benefits.

In light of this administration’s blatant disregard for the Constitutional separation of powers, do you honestly think anyone can believe your one paragraph press release?

Keep up! A judge issued an ambiguous ruling. He asked for clarification rather than guess.

Did the Acting Commissioner say she was going to shutdown SSA? What was the reason?

Trump and Dodge will not shut down SS. They are making it better for retirees.

Acting Commissioner Dudek threatened to shut down the SSA unless he got “clarification” from the judge re: who could access protected personal information if the “DOGE kids” weren’t allowed to access it.

I can’t find anything about a threat to shut down SSA. Just the news that DOGE isn’t permitted to fish around in SSA to try to justify their wildly exaggerated claims about fraud.

No DOGE. With Elon Musk. But for this statement to say Trump doesn’t also want too. Is a big lie. Republicans have wanted to shut down SSA in some way, just isn’t easy to do.

Same question. It’s news to me. The one thing they should leave alone is SSA. Some of the systems still run on mainframe software like cobal… So they would have to resurrect my grandfather to fix it.

I read it that way too? Saying that if the TRO had not been issued that the SSA would be shut down?

This was a very confusing message.
