Social Security Increases Transparency and Accountability – Shares More Information Online

The Social Security Administration (SSA) announced today several new initiatives and resources to promote greater transparency and accountability.
“President Trump has been clear that good government must serve the People. This begins with being transparent in how its government makes decisions and operates as good stewards of the resources entrusted to it,” said Lee Dudek, Acting Commissioner of Social Security.
“With this guiding principle in mind, Social Security is taking several important steps to increase transparency and accountability in order to help others understand our agency’s work and the complexities we navigate.”
What to Know about Proving Your Identity: SSA recently announced it is strengthening identity proofing requirements for people who do not use a personal my Social Security account to apply for cash benefits or to change direct deposit information for benefits. To help the public understand the new policy, SSA today published a new webpage, What to Know about Proving Your Identity | SSA.
Weekly Operational Report Meetings: Acting Commissioner Dudek meets with his senior leadership team throughout the week to tackle a range of challenges facing the agency. During the Weekly Operational Report (WOR) meeting, leaders focus on specific topics, the options presented to the acting commissioner, and the resulting decisions made during these meetings. Agency Actions: Acting Commissioner Dudek also published online a summary of select agency challenges, options presented, and the Acting Commissioner’s ultimate decisions. National 800 Number Wait Times: The American people do not receive the prompt customer service they deserve when calling the agency’s 800 number. Despite the knowledge, dedication, and experience of SSA’s telephone representatives, customers wait too long to speak with a representative. People deserve to know the wait time challenges they will face if unable to use the agency’s secure and convenient online services. Efficiencies and Cost Avoidance: SSA works closely with the General Services Administration to identify unused and underutilized office space. SSA published its Efficiencies and Cost Avoidance webpage that lists soft-term lease terminations, including an explanation for each location and whether any change affects the public or not. For nearly all locations, the space being terminated is only a small room within the larger Social Security office location.
Workforce Update: SSA identified opportunities to optimize its workforce by offering voluntary opportunities to depart the agency or move to a frontline customer service position. I’ve done everything I thought was correct to file an online application in regards to applying for Spousal Benefits based on the new Fairness Act. I am a Spouse with a State Pension and per the new law the WEP & GPO isn’t applicable anymore so I should be eligible to receive Spousal Benefits. I meet all the guidelines as a Spouse. I applied Feb 3, took approx 8 weeks to get a phone interview. I received documents 6 days later with several mistakes, especially in saying “ I wasn’t a Retiree from a State Pension. It also stated benefits would only go back 6 mos from date of application. What happened to being retroactive to January 1, 2024? How can I be penalized for not applying earlier since the law wasn’t signed until January, 2025. I spent approx 2 hrs waiting for a pre planned appointment to prove I was married & my identity. Then they said I needed my Birth Certificate, so I went back again, as a walk-in, waiting approx another 2 hrs. I know the new law is just that “new”, but the employees should be better trained. It also would be nice if they would smile & act like I wasn’t bothering them when I asked questions. I can only imagine their work load, but it’s not easy for those of us that are on the other side of the desk. It says it typically takes 30-60 days to get benefits started. It’s almost 2 mos now and it’s not even decided if I will get Spousal Benefits at all. It shouldn’t be so difficult.

This is notice that my information is not to be shared with d o g e or Elon Musk. Cause for litigation has already occurred as a result of their actions due to the great anxiety and other issues that have inflicted harm and injury to recipients of funds from the social security administration. This litigation will be initiated as soon as representation is secured. Who the hell is Elon musk and what does he have to do with social security I believe in our president and I know President Trump is going to make things better concerning social security buisness he made a decision a reason you shouldn’t have to wait 4 hours on the phone to talk to someone you shouldn’t have to wait 4 fucken years to get back your benefits the social security agents put you through hell and the heating judges does worse Americans shouldn’t be homeless just to get there benifits what little they get cause it’s not enough to pay for rent bills food this has gotten out of control with the over population of immigrants that can get medicaid insurance without being legal same thing with food stamps what happened this supposedly America but all I fuchrn see is immigrants were forced to hire racial people but those bastards that have taken over 90 % of convient stores don’t hire Americans when you get arrested your supposed to be innocent until proving guilty so why the hell do we got to sit in jail until court don’t make no sence how cone all these immigrants gets all these grants and loans whike Americans have to live in tents I use to work at a store every week this pakistaning would cone buy the cheapest case of water we had he would use a foodstsmp card that had 3 thousand dollars on it my poor disabled roommate gets 283 per month he can eat that up in 1 week at the price if groceries 9 dollars for a carton of eggs there’s alot that needs to be fixed everybody filing system is out of date bullshit that happened 4 Years ago in my social security account and then someone steals your identity there is no fuvking help for you anywhere not the attorney general federal trade commission consumer finance bureau even e verify b we n hacked into that’s homeland security what the fuck is really going on

I like to know how the permanently disabled seniors that can’t work because of severe medical conditions, which I know for a fact that it was brought on by medical malpractice and the State of Tennessee. I have been unfairly treated since 2010, both me and my Son who is also permanently disabled from birth. No human being should ever be treated like I have. I have a right to to speak out against fraud and corruption. That is my hard earned money that I have been paying taxes on for years and then to be denied assistance such as Medicaid QMB, and taking me off my Dual Special Needs down grading me to Chronic Special Needs to where I have to pay out of pocket. How fast everyone forgets that I also have to take care and monitor him since I am his Dual Power of Attorney Special Needs Agent since he was a minor. I have to protect him because Social Security or Medicare doesn’t protect him and the state of Tennessee is not protecting him either so someone has to watch out for him and that’s his mother whether the government likes it or not because I am not going to allow my son to go through what I went through and it’s my money and benefits he is drawing from. He can’t work because of transportation and the state violated the section 504 and our civil rights. What good is it to have the Social Security Act or the rehabilitation Act in place when the states don’t follow them, and misuse federal funds that is supposed to help the people in need. Our governor is too busy worrying about the Tennessee Titans stadium instead of low income housing for the people that need it and that are homeless on the street and doesn’t mention one word about how he’s going to fix the problem instead he’s building $5 million mental & behavioral facilities when they caused these problems. Innocent disabled children being taken from parents because we were denied help. And then they go and list children as being in an institution and allowing these kids to sign documents as a minor not knowing what they’re signing and then taking their Social Security check when they are paying rent in a home attending college with 24/7 aides. And then hide it from the mother that has dual power of attorney over a 17-year-old cuz they didn’t want me to find out. So yes I’m excited that President Trump is cleaning house and getting rid of all the rotten apples that are doing this to our children to the elderly the veterans and innocent parents that are working hard and throwing our money away to other countries. I know I’m fed up and disgusted the way I have been treated and now my son is abused and has issues because of this state of Tennessee and nobody does anything about it and lets him get away with it. And now I can’t even get the treatment that I need for my health so it’s deteriorating so they’re trying to kill me off slowly all about money yeah well who’s going to pay and take care of it when I go into kidney failure because of my lupus who’s going to be there when I have a stroke or a heart attack because of blocked arteries or I lose my right leg because of blood flow and circulation who’s going to pay for that who’s paying for my right eye sight that I almost lost my eye because of a parasite attack in my cornea all because of contaminated tap water another issue that I have to face and can’t get the help I need and now they want me to pay out of pocket for all these extra specialist something is wrong here this is my money that I’m supposed to get all these benefits and got nothing but a heartache and homelessness this is what they do to you when you speak out. They brag about foster care they get foster care Federal and state money give them everything that they want and they’re the ones that are abusing our children and put the mother on the street somebody needs to hear this I’m tired of sit and being quiet and watching our children be destroyed for no reason because of greed because the government put us in a hole and now they’re going to use us to get them out of a hole and steal everything that we worked hard for people I hope you’re all paying attention what’s going on here and now they’re destroying our children our future generation. Now you find out the medicine that they gave you to cure the COVID is the culprit that ended up killing the thousands and millions of people in our country they’re killing us off slowly and then they brag about it. It’s all about control because they don’t want the American people the citizens the taxpayer to find out what is going on what they use the money for Social Security wasn’t broke they used our money and spin it Where’s the money that’s supposed to be in the trust fund that’s collecting interest what happened there. Instead they hire global international now to run our medical and have their nose in our health and our finances monitoring our phone bills and they’re the ones that are stealing our information our identity ruining us financially and selling our information to their country because it’s a poor country. I am not giving my information to global people from the Philippines or India or wherever my information they have no right to know about my health insurance isn’t that against the HIPAA law a foreign country that doesn’t even know about federal laws and they want me to give them my information I don’t think so they’re the ones that are stealing People’s Social Security checks now the FEMA checks are missing. Why did we need these people We have enough people in the United States to handle our own country and work why do we need someone else that has no idea what they’re talking what they’re doing Don’t know federal or state laws and we’re allowing them to handle our business. My information is private My health information is private I am not going to allow them to know my health how much money I have in my bank account which is zero You don’t make nothing on Social Security and of course we didn’t get no stimulus and no increase and then if you do get an increase because of cola we get penalized for it. I hope somebody is reading this like President Trump or someone that is watching out for the American people.
