How long do my disability payments go till? I’ve been on disability for 5 years now and I’m 63 years old

Hi, Katel. Thanks for your question and for reading our blog. When you reach your full retirement age – 67 for people born in 1960 and later – we will automatically convert your disability benefits to retirement benefits. Your benefit amount will likely remain the same. We hope this helps.

My disability check was suspended and is being reviewed. was told that this process could possibly take a year to complete, I explained that I have multiple health conditions and I am on several medications. I was told to ask for provisional payments for at least 6 months. I submitted everything over 30 days ago and still nothing. Could someone please help me,
