The IRS has extended its deadline to September 30, 2020 to provide information to the IRS using its IRS’ Non-Filer Tool if you:

  • Receive Social Security retirement, survivors, or disability benefits, or SSI payments.
  • Did not file a 2019 or 2018 tax return.
  • Have a qualifying child under age 17.
  • You did not already enter information in the IRS’ Non-Filer Tool for you and at least one child.

If you already entered information in the IRS’ Non-Filer Tool before and even after the IRS’ previously announced deadlines (April 22 if you receive Social Security; May 5 if you receive SSI), you do not need to do anything. The IRS will automatically make a payment in October based on the information you provided them.

Please read the IRS’ August 14 press release for more details.

I have 2 children ages 1 and 3 years old, I am a retired US Navy veteran with 20 plus years of service both my children and I have SSN”s and are US CITIZENS, yet we were excluded from receiving the stimulus due to my wife having an ITIN…Is that fair to me or my children when the ITIN is issued from the iRS for tax filing purposes and to pay taxes on earned income??? seriously?? is this not discrimination in the highest form of law????

I claim my son every year and did so this but didn’t work much last year, I did not receive the $500.00 for him. I did everything I possible could think and took everyone’s advice and still nothing. Then someone on the ssa Facebook page tried telling me to pay $80.00 registration to get out on some queue to receive it in a few days but that seemed alittle to fishy and fraudulent to me so that was a no go! Idk I guess he will never receive his money!
