The IRS has extended its deadline to September 30, 2020 to provide information to the IRS using its IRS’ Non-Filer Tool if you:

  • Receive Social Security retirement, survivors, or disability benefits, or SSI payments.
  • Did not file a 2019 or 2018 tax return.
  • Have a qualifying child under age 17.
  • You did not already enter information in the IRS’ Non-Filer Tool for you and at least one child.

If you already entered information in the IRS’ Non-Filer Tool before and even after the IRS’ previously announced deadlines (April 22 if you receive Social Security; May 5 if you receive SSI), you do not need to do anything. The IRS will automatically make a payment in October based on the information you provided them.

Please read the IRS’ August 14 press release for more details.

I participated in the T2Work program in California witch to be complete honest is a true position for the not disabled to become disabled. But I did my best and met many barriers and kept All my receipts all my flags or minor memorabilia to support place , location , necessary items , food purchases and ext to support my own understanding of the challenges to become self sufficient since I am stil able to do so physically and to take notes for those that are not as fortunate. This year with covic 19 and the challenges that I’m still struggling with California and there EXTREME DISCRIMINATION against us all the position for my filling all the mine is that i was order to report by SSA where not met including my contributing factors to POD or Mathematica Policy Research since I faced hardship and removed back to my parents home where I filled 0 made to receive the stimulus , to the fact of all this is that I have been reporting and making the best with some Selfish factors more these days in the entire Mesriani law Corporation and then whole thing . The position of reporting wages has become easier thanks to new technology and the position of contributing from local state to federal can become an inconvenience here in California that one is forced into asking how much is harmful vs how much is important to all of us when i felt and knew only of myself doing this . I must be madd but I cannot say I would not appreciate an IRS audit so that I can have a peace of ind for once in my life when it comes to my net worth and losses at full circle . Thank Social Security . A proud utilitarian supporter and beneficiary Luis outrageous A…

Although I have been receiving Social Security for over 25 years, first as Disability Benefits and now as Retirement Benefits, direct-deposited into the same account all these many years, I still got a paper check. A neighbor who is a federal retiree has received her pension direct-deposited into the same account for decades, also got a paper check. At least Treasury knew we existed since we both file tax returns!
