Social Security Administration LogoOn January 20, 2021, President Biden signed Executive Order (EO) 13985, Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government. The EO requires all Federal agencies “to pursue a comprehensive approach to advancing equity for all including people of color and other people who have been historically underserved, marginalized, and adversely affected by persistent poverty and inequality.”

Our programs touch the lives of nearly every American including people who face barriers – providing income security for the diverse populations we serve. This includes:

  • People with disabilities.
  • People who are widowed.
  • Retirees.
  • Their families.

We are committed to continuing to administer our programs in a way that promotes equity and treating all individuals who interact with us with fairness. We recognize that access to our administrative system can pose barriers to people who need our programs the most. To reduce these barriers and ensure everyone has access to our services, our Equity Action Plan includes:

  • Increasing collection of race and ethnicity data to help understand whether our programs are equitably serving our applicants and beneficiaries.
  • Revising our policies and practices to expand options for service delivery.
  • Ensuring equitable access for unrepresented claimants in the disability application process.
  • Decreasing burdens for people who identify as gender diverse or transgender in the Social Security Number card application process.
  • Increasing access to our research grant programs for Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Serving Institutions, and to procurement opportunities for small and disadvantaged businesses.

Please visit Social Security Open Government Plans and Progress to learn more about each of the actions outlined in our Equity Action Plan. We look forward to advancing equity, civil rights, racial justice, and equal opportunity for all. Please share this information with your friends and family – and post it on social media.

This more BS spread by the current administration, creating a phantasy world that doesn’t exist solely for racist purposes of further dividing our country.

    • Notyahmommah

Fantasy? So this is creating a world that will further divide our country how? By giving them more or less money? You don’t want to help them get a better stand with what the government might give them? Pennies won’t help no, but starting to see that they exist is a beginning isn’t it? If you take it you’re a hypocrite right?

So, you’re from a different Country and Ur receiving benefits… You’re complaining about what you receive from the American Government. Do you realize there are American Born citizens who don’t even get approved for benefits in which they desperately need. Pull your pants up and stop crying!

      • Pissed

You nailed it!!! I agree pull your damn pants up or build a bridge and get over it. I was born and raised in California worked all my life. Im 60 years old. In 2005 I was attacked by a pitbull. Extremely amount of damages injuries to the left leg and foot and ankle sad to say the media even showed up on this. Isn’t much shock on the way to the hospital by ambulance when I get over here the doctors talking about the possibility of losing my foot it looked like he had gone through a garbage disposal. Losing lots of love I’m waiting for the ambulance in shock. Left foot was absolutely gruesome couldn’t tell what it was It was barely hanging on by the bone that was still intact. the Achilles was ripped out all the other gruesome ligaments cartilages muscle completely damaged beyond repair. of it leaving me crippled and in a wheelchair for over a year. I able to work. I applied for assistance I was disabled at this point and did not know if there was going to be into recovery. Social Security and he had me jumping through hoops didn’t have a leg to stand on no pun intended.. after year or two of fighting the denials into the next level to the next level denied unfavorable with so frustrating became homeless. Knowing that attacks paying hard working single woman would be treated this way and be at risk. Lost a lot of faith in our system very disappointed. Im a tax payer. Paid into social security. However denied. Three different times. No reconsideration granted. Went to the next at level denied.. I recently went to apply for social security as now my right leg has serious injuries due to the fact that the left leg that was attacked by the dog never healed right. Neuropathy nerve damage and etc so I have two legs that are p crippled. However I found out when I went to apply last week . To my surprise the application that I reapplied for after all those denied was still pending and we’re in 2022. Wow! To my surprise the lady I spoke with in person at the social security office last week I have an appointment interview this coming Monday that quick that’s surprises me any suggestions what I should or should not say? Who’s overseeing the social security ? Must have been on the back burner while they are busy signing checks for these ones that are crying about what they get. Or what they don’t get. Count your blessings there pal make sure when you have your nice dinner you’re thinking of me the one without a wheelchair. No income. You Got a caregiver and a wife. Pretty good chunk from social security. Keeping it real and just saying.

        • ÃumŪnique B.

Thank YOU 4 sharing…IT WILL COME TOGETHER FOR YOU…
ALMOST THERE, their giving you a ‘run’ for YOUR OWN $$$…(no punn intended on run for $$$) A’Lil’Humor’Here…

BEGIN PLANNING HOW YOU’LL DISTRIBUTE/SPEND; ALLLLLLLLLL THE BACK PAY ENTITLED/OWED YOU…

Sending you Blessings N Prosperity good health…

    • Notyahmommah

You Arnon get more money than I do and worked from 16 to 55, how did you get so much and then say you want more? Did you work? Your wife work? Why are you paying for a caregiver? Doesn’t your government assistance cover that and why isn’t it? Holy crap man!

  8. Stephanie M.

Sometimes the qualifications for SSDI/SSI are so frustrating. My best friend’s husband has been denied SSDI for a reason of “limited work history”. He, also, doesn’t qualify for SSI because my friend makes over the amount of income limit for the household (and the amount over is not by much). They have to pay their other bills (over mortgage, electric, gas) with the tips she makes from her job. It’s just frustrating when you know of another person (personally), with a shorter work history get approved for SSDI that has an elevated chance to return to work. Some things, such as cost of living and now current inflation rate should be taken into consideration.

  9. Melinda D.

I lost my benefits because of my ex husband used to live with me and now we are divorced and he has no right to takemy money from me he owe $32,750 all work related and he is pathological liar and love to steal from people who is friends with him and take advantage of Michael Charles Damon owe government money not me im not responsible for his action anymore since 2017

    • Danielle M.

Hi Milinda Damon,i am a Dr.In Behavorial Health Medicince/Advocate,and i am glad you are using your voice. No he,should’t be taking Advantage of you or your money, and i Assure you your case should be handled and not ignored. Because stealing is wrong, and i know the feeling when Accusing others should not be allowed in tge frist place espically when you half enough Evidance to back up your case. I do,i have enough Evidance to back up my case as we not being what’s owed too me from SSD,towards,my family, who is suffering badly Health, wise you don’t go around telling people we’re here too help you out we’re is the proof of it it’s in writing yes but Action’s speak louder than word’s,as Advocate/you can see how many of these familie’s,are suffering including my kid’z,their Kid’s,i am really hurt by all of this so is my family, where still not togather yet. One year ago since Febuary,02,i have the proof back up my case,i was saying actions 🎬 speake louder than words, when it hurts families, across the world, and i totally agree with Miss Damon, about owing work related money not her these people deserve Justice,so does everyone else. Nurses,in the Hospital crying because they half to explain are cases, who too call imagine espically when they are heart broken after looking at the kid’s,faces nobody deserves, this lack of no funds, being payed out too us,i understand it’s very hard burden for all of us,i just wanna say one thing Medicare, should owe us a Aplogie, toward’s everyone for hurting so many families, not me taring my family apart, and i love my girlfriend, and my kid’s,with all of my heart,it’s crushed right know because of all the damages that this has caused,i ended up with a nervous break down.

Don’t supply your race. It’s being used to divide us. We are Americans.

    • Karen S.

AGREE! And the checkmarks don’t address that so many Americans are bi-racial, with mixed ethnicities, including “white.” The data collection tries to ignore the “white” and emphasize only the non-white data.

    • Jorge B.

Totally agree, it bothers me every time specially when ethnicity is misused as race,

    • Think T.

Not all receiving Social Security are Americans. Many are parasites pretending to be American to grab our generational American’s wealth & assets. Did you see the post from Tel Aviv, Israel? He is not American at all, but his parasitic claws were able to sign up for SS “benefits” that generational Americans are paying for. We call them gimmiegrants.
And while ‘race card’ is being played by the very ones who are Constitutionally aka Contractually bound NOT to regard race per Title VI, & yet SSA, a government services corporations with Dun & Bradstreet numbers, in Baltimore alone 22 offices each with own corp DnB numbers. WHITE AMERICANS pay for all of it. Whites are the only ones who produce more in a day than they consume. Think of just 3 inventions by Whites that run the world: Wheels, Wings, Electricity. Whites are responsible for 98% of all inventions & advancements & yet are the Global Minority Race & are also the Most Colorful Race of all! White Americans are being harvested; Whites pay for it all.
