I’ve been waiting on my back pay calculation and payee switch I’m still pending and broke I was wondering can I get some paperwork emailed to me that shows how much and around when I’ll receive it so I may get a small loan. Thank you.

    • Ann C.

Love the online services but I am a homeless shelter case manager and my clients often have no ID, birth certificate, etc… The address on record is no longer current and client may not even remember it because they move around so much. Sometimes they don’t even have a working phone. In some instances we have been unable to create an account. Just wanted to let you know. Please keep in mind these extreme cases.

I was approved, at end of hearing this week of 7/2022. It’s been 6 long years. My SSDI insurance termination was Dec 31, 21.
Hearing was to determine if I was disabled before insurance dropped off…back to April 2018.
Alot going on, remanded case rolled together with new case….but basic question is.
Since my online account said not qualified for disability benefits (insurance) and shows no monthly amount if become disabled…I can’t tally my backpay or anything.
How long before my online account will update… especially since it was on the records approval of hearing.

What’s the word on the 7162 form .Is there a 2020 revision one ? I would like to download and print it in case I accidentally don’t receive one through the mail.Could you possibly tell when it might be available?

    • Ann C.

Hi, Meredith. Thanks for your question. The postal service disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have resolved in the majority of countries. The Social Security Administration resumed mailing the forms SSA-7161 and SSA-7162 in late June 2022. Forms will be mailed according to the schedule that was in effect prior to the pandemic (i.e. if you were expecting a form in 2020, you will receive it in 2022; 2021 in 2023). Please complete and return the forms promptly to avoid suspension of benefits. We hope this helps.
