    Hello I just have a question I sold property in the Philippine and I have transfer money bank to bank will this money affect my benefits thank you

      Hi Nila, thanks for using our blog. If you’re receiving Social Security benefits, income from the sale of property does not affect your benefits. If you’re receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), a needs based program, any change in your income, assets and living arrangement can affect your benefits and it must be reported. You can call your local Social Security office. Look for the general inquiry telephone number at the Social Security Office Locator. The number may appear under Show Additional Office Information.     Hello I’m 62 and I have drawn my retirement benefits I have worked all my life and I’m only getting $275.00 a month something is wrong here I can’t even live on this

We recommend that individuals living outside the United States contact the nearest Federal Benefit Unit in the area for any assistance related to Social Security programs and benefits.     i never had a SSN card issue for me; i am a 1st generation american by birth. both my parents (deceased) were not Americans nor they were green card holder. i left USA while i was 1 year old and did not yet return. spent all my life in Egypt and joined School, university and also currently employed in Egypt.
    need to know how can i apply for the SSN and if try to secure school records is difficult what are the alternatives required.
    i am born in 1987 so finding such school records us quite a challenge

    I have just started receiving Society Security. Is there a maximum amount I can have in my checking account or Direct Express Card? Will the current stimulus check of 1400.00 or any future stimulus checks affect my monthly Social Security benefits? Isn’t the 1 year waiver coming up soon? Thank you.

      Hi Alma, thanks for using our blog. If you’re receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), we will not consider EIPs as income and the payments are excluded from resources for 12 months. If you’re receiving Social Security benefits, it does not matter how much is in your bank account or Direct Express card.
