I love to read about Social Security Matters and was retired from my work (Readers Digest) in 1993.

    Hi,
How can I make an appointment to see an agent so I can establish an online account? What kinds of documents do I have to bring with me to the appointment. By the way, I tried to create an online account several times without success.
    Thanks,

    HL

I retired May 1, 1980. at the age of 80 years. Why am I receiving this information? I don’t know if you are a scam or the actual AARP. If you are legitimate you would know I’m retired

If you retired in 1980 at the age of 80 – you are now 118. Wow!

I have been trying to help my 88 year old mother re-establish her online account but can never succeed. Apparently, or so an SSA agent advised, this may be because of her age. The agent advised that she and I must go to a SSA office to do so. This is not convenient for us, particularly since we live in different cities. Is there some convenient way for us to accomplish this online?

    • Snarky

Yes. Go visit her and together do it on line.

Can I get both Social Security Disability and Social Security?

    • Snarky

      No.
