I changed my name in person at a Social Security office but never received a new card. Because of covid I don’t really want to go to the office again in person, and because of their hours, I have to take time off from work to go. I called the local office and they said to get a new copy, I can mail my original driver’s license to them, but it is currently taking them 2-3 months to return documents. It’s crazy for SS to ask me to be without my license for months. I have tried your online system, but it keeps rejecting my driver’s license information, even though I am entering it exactly as it appears on my license. I am not in a state that you list as not being able to provide this information online. Can you give me any help in getting the online system to accept my valid information?
