I had the most helpful experience than I’ve had for the past two years. Her name is Alicia from the Salem office. I was given the runaround like I said for almost 2 years. This woman was sharp and very considerate and she saved me. Thank you Alicia!!!!

I moved last year. I changed my address on-line. My account shows the correct address yet my 2021 SSA-1099 was mailed to the old address.

I tried calling your main number, was on hold 4 ever, called the Chambersburg office number, got hung up on, then tried using your on-line email contact but it would not accept my message, telling me not to include my SSN, then I called the main number again where I’m on hold as I type this.

I just got off the phone with a representative by the name of Jose. He was short with me and when I addressed his on the manner in which he was speaking to me he informed me that if I wanted his help that I just had to endure the way that I was being spoked too. He was very short with me and spoke as if I was annoying him. When I ask to speak with a supervisor he hung up on me. I know that we are senior citizens, however, we deserve polite service from SSA employees.

I have been trying to contact the office for an appointment for last 2 months. I still haven’t received any appointment from the Baltimore SSN Office.
The Staff talks very rudely. They don’t have any appropriate information. My pincode is 21227. There is no authority where I can complain.

I have been trying for almost two months to check on the status of an ex spousal death benefits claim. I had my phone interview 12/03/2021 and all requested information had been provided. No one answers the phone and finally when one employee did I was told they couldn’t help me they only worked SSI. Using the 800 number is a joke, can never get through. I can’t use the online service because I messed up 2 of my security questions. How do I get help with this problem ?

Been 2 weeks I’ve been trying to get in touch somehow. Your recordings say, “It’s easy, just call and make appointment.” LOL. Usually get put on hold for up to an hour then get disconnected. I can not go back to work until I get this form completed. It can not be done online. Please help me to get ahold of someone that can give me an answer. This site is a spin move. Says in the chat to ask your question. Then you get responses that are irrelevant to the question. Then your told to make an appointment. And again you get disconnected. please help so we don’t go under.

My issues still remain unresolved!! Calling my local office as well as the 800 number is the biggest joke! Calling my local office I get some business half the time and they now have a voicemail to leave information and they will return your call, which isn’t since they aren’t SS. So half the time I don’t know who I am calling. I called the 800 number and asked for the help desk to get help resolving my problem with security questions after system also said my password was incorrect. Locked out of system and was informed some information would be mailed to me. Haven’t even received that which cannot be blamed on the weather since all requests were made before the storms hit. Has SS not evolved enough if a cell phone number is given a text could be sent instead of snail mail. It’s about time SS employees went back to the office!!!!! If grocery store employees, restaurant workers and school employees and students are back what’s the problem? Safety measures are up if appointments are being done for specific applications. Also. what about the money taxpayers are having to continue to pay rent for unoccupied buildings? I am totally fed up with LACK of service my next step is to contact my congressman.

three times after being on hold for 30 minutes you phone just disconnects. I am trying to report the death of my brother and hope I can do so before you put into his account that will then be removed.
please do the report of Curran C. Howard
    ss #*** ** ****
as your phone system will not allow me to do so and I have been on the phone for almost two hours today

I had faxed a CMS-1763 to the Raleigh, N.C. office on 1/19/22. I performed a follow up call on the following day to make sure the office received it, and was told to call back the Wednesday of the following week. I called back on a Thursday, starting at 9 A.M.. At 12:45 P.M., after making at least 5 calls to the office. Three calls were disconnected after 15 minutes of waiting. One call was disconnected, immediately after a human voice picked up the phone. Another call, a British accented female voice recording picked up, thanked me calling Social Security, and disconnected the call. I attempted 2 calls to the national number, and after a prolonged wait for both calls, the line went into dead silence. I called the Pembroke, Florida office, and was met with silence, after being put on hold. I can understand the long delays due to traffic, but the fact that you still don’t get to speak to a representative, after the long wait, is a waist of hours of my time, just to confirm receipt of a document. This is absolutely unprofessional.

I have been trying to check on the holdup for a disability claim for a solid week! I have the filed office number and nobody seems to answer or I just get cut off after a couple rings. I tried to get help from my local office but was told he is to busy with calls all day to help me!!
I am just trying to get to the claim agent to tell me what is needed. This claim was filed at the end of March 2021.
Please do not tell me to call the customer service number. They were very nice but all they can do was give me the field office number is Birmingham Al.!
