We need to go back to humans answering phone. Once again I will have to hang up because I will run out of time. SS offers returns call service, however it never works. Just delete it so I don’t have to get upset. Why give a raise if you increase Medicare

I am hispanic… SSA has not helped me any…

…e.g.; SSA’s (OHO) Operation Of Hearings Office (both in state & federal secs) fraudulently conspired breach of contract by systematically misleading, discriminating, and delaying the application process, they also blatantly altered government documents and falsely accused the applicant of being a threat to “facility & staff” (twice) as to intimidate me into not pursuing benefits… while committing Mail Fraud, Emblem Abuse, Waste of Govt. Funding, & placing merit to a criminally issued court subpoena produced by UAL…

I have developed a medical condition that will cause an early retirement. How can learn more about about any disability claims that i might be eligible for? Social Security Card Renewal

    • Ann C.

Hi, Marks. We are sorry to hear about your condition. Disability Benefits are paid to people who are unable to work because of a medical condition that is expected to last one year or more or to end in death. We pay disability benefits through two programs: the Social Security Disability Insurance program (SSDI), and the Supplemental Security Income (SSI). SSI is a needs-based disability program that pays benefits to people with limited income and resources who are disabled, blind, or age 65 or older. The SSDI program provides benefits to insured disabled or blind adults covered by workers’ contributions to the Social Security trust funds. If you feel that you meet our definition of disability, you can apply online.  We hope this information helps.

Immigriants or Hispanics (should, be welcomed to the usa, but they need to register them selves and be in-compliance or legal, within the country. -> It’s how your identified).

Benefits, should also be permitted, if necessary (especially, to hispanic mothers, seeking help & more peaceful environment). ~ TCWA920900

i have lived here 66 years and been born here, our ansestory goes back a long way..every time i tried to get benifits something would happen many lost applications stamps stopped ect. when in Georgia, i had to apply 7 times but all the illegal immigrants,15 in room and 2 white people, said they had no problems at all! i sickens me to hear blablablavla in ssoffice and dr offices. they talk sooo lond. i feel unwanted in my own country!!!

SS needs to clearly differentiate the various “Spanish” communities. America has citizens (who SHOULD have English communication skills), green card/visa holders (do they get SS benefits?) and undocumented aliens (who we assume should get no benefits because they shouldn’t have a SS number). Taxpayers deserve transparency as to where our money goes.
Then the point someone else made – what special language services do you provide to the other 99+ languages spoken by American residents/ new citizens?

    • Maria D.

You work for Spanish community, illegals, no documented and don’t care about people that work here 20 years, legally and can get 2more million ILEGAL to carry on our back.

  8. kyldy

How do you service the rest of the people? Why are you focused on one group of people in AMERICA?

  9. John J.

The headline may lead you to believe that there is something different or special about serving the Spanish community. Other than proving translation services if needed and booklets in Spanish there is no different treatment or at least that’s the way it should be.
All programs are geared toward non incarcerated citizens or in rare exceptions foreign nationals who no longer have a sponsor

  10. George S.

Is this program strictly for American citizens?

    • Scott D.

My thoughts exactly… Have they paid in to receive benefits/

      • kyldy

I know for a fact NO in a lot of cases.

Then report it if you have facts concerning fraud. How to report fraud
Do you suspect someone of committing fraud, waste, or abuse against Social Security? You can contact the OIG’s fraud hotline at 1-800-269-0271 or submit a report online at https://oig.ssa.gov/.
