“I want to provide an update to people who receive benefits from the Social Security Administration.

The Department of the Treasury (Treasury) announced on April 1 that Social Security beneficiaries who are not typically required to file tax returns will not need to file an abbreviated tax return to receive an economic impact payment. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will use the information on the Form SSA-1099 to generate $1,200 economic impact payments to Social Security beneficiaries who did not file tax returns in 2018 or 2019.

Treasury, not Social Security, will make automatic payments to Social Security beneficiaries. Beneficiaries will receive these payments by direct deposit or by paper check, just as they would normally receive their Social Security benefits.

For updates from the IRS, visit their web page.

Note for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Recipients:

We are working closely with Treasury to address outstanding questions about our SSI recipients in an attempt to make the issuance of economic impact payments as quick and efficient as possible. We realize people are concerned, and the IRS will provide additional information on their web page when available. Please note that we will not consider economic impact payments as income for SSI recipients, and the payments are excluded from resources for 12 months.”

Once again here we go with this government people that’s on disability that got payees they don’t want to even give those people that’s Americans the money they was promised the IRS to Social Security and the treasure we don’t have no answers but they sending stimulus checks to people that’s dead not even alive tell me what’s going on with that picture and you people right here on this website this government cannot tell people that’s on disability that got payees what’s going on but you can send checks out to people that’s not even alive this is all a setup for people like us that low income in for they don’t want us to have this money. It’s not that hard when you got everybody on Social Security direct express whether they have a payee are not the treasury in the IRS and the Social Security should be given IRS in the treasury our information in our Direct Express Card information you people do not want to give us this money I am not expecting to get a stimulus check I have gave up because I am disabled and I don’t have time to be stressing and worrying myself I’m already have a mental illness and got a deal with daily stuff and I struggle fixed income after I pay rent I’m broke I was really looking forward to that $1,200 to catch up on bills and buy things that I need but here it is with this phony government promises stuff to people and then when you get to the Lower Class People there’s a problem like I said they are sending people checks that’s not even alive I’m alive and well on disability got a Direct Express Card I get SSA and SSI and still haven’t got no payment from what the government promised they got on TV and said all this stuff to get people hyped up and here it is we left behind and they have no update for people with payees and everybody that’s getting SSI we all on Social Security it’s not like Social Security is too different government Social Security is one so why is it different from people that’s on SSDI SSA disability and people that have payees what is the difference from we can’t get our economic payment

I didn’t get my 1200 check yet what Is going on with this I am on ssi been waiting for while now

  10. Kenneth G.

I was under the impression that non tax filer didn’t have to fill out any forms to get the check looks like if you’re is Kenneth Wayne Goforth 2nd it doesn’t matter if you do or if you don’t you wont get a check anyhow, don’t matter if you got a big hole in the bathroom floor and you barely draw enough to buy groceries and pay bills, just be careful not to fall through the floor and pray the tub you bath in doesn’t fall through.
