Trying since July to sign up for Spousal Benefits; have made many calls to SSA – each time, “they’ll call me to set up an appointment”
Still have not heard; I call regularly; most times am cut off while on hold. This morning, for example, I’ve called 4 times….on hold now.
Please advise if I can complete this process on line

I turned 65 in March 2021. I applied for RSDI and SSDI in September 2021. I was not approved for SSDI with an effective date of 12/2021. The letter said I did not meet documentation for disability until 12/2021. However no detailed explanation of what records that was. In order to see if I want to appeal the begin date I need to know what they used. How can I get verification of what they used?

Hi Patricia. Unfortunately, your concerns are a bit more complex than we can handle in this forum. For your security, we do not have access to information about your account in this venue. We ask that members in our Blog community continue to work with their local office for specific questions. Please look for the general inquiry telephone number at the Social Security Office Locator. The number may appear under Show Additional Office Information. Please be aware that our call wait times are longer than normal.  Thanks.
