Act Now – Go to IRS.gov – A Message from Social Security Commissioner Andrew Saul

April 20, 2020 • By

Reading Time: 2 Minutes

Last Updated: March 17, 2021

Social Security beneficiaries and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients who don’t file tax returns will start receiving their automatic Economic Impact Payments directly from the Treasury Department soon. People receiving benefits who did not file 2018 or 2019 taxes, and have qualifying children under age 17, however, should not wait for their automatic $1,200 individual payment. They should immediately go to the IRS’s webpage and visit the Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here section to provide their information.

Social Security retirement, survivors, and disability insurance beneficiaries with dependent children and who did not file 2018 or 2019 taxes need to act by Wednesday, April 22, in order to receive additional payments for their eligible children quickly. SSI recipients need to take this action by later this month; a specific date will be available soon.

By taking this proactive step to enter information on the IRS website about them and their qualifying children, they will also receive the $500 per dependent child payment in addition to their $1,200 individual payment. If beneficiaries in this group do not provide their information to the IRS soon, their payment at this time will be $1,200. People would then be required to file a tax year 2020 tax return to obtain the additional $500 per eligible child.

I urge Social Security and SSI recipients with qualifying children who do not normally file taxes to take action now. Immediately go to IRS.gov so that you will receive the full amount of the Economic Impact Payments you and your family are eligible for.

Action Needed for Social Security Beneficiaries with Dependents and Who Do Not File Tax Returns to Receive $500 Per Child Payment

People with Direct Express debit cards who enter information at the IRS’s website should complete all of the mandatory questions, but they may leave the bank account information section blank as Treasury already has their Direct Express information on file.

Additionally, any new beneficiaries since January 1, 2020, of either Social Security or SSI benefits, who did not file a tax return for 2018 or 2019, will also need to go to the IRS’s Non-Filers website to enter their information as they will not receive automatic payments from Treasury.

    • Sarah R.

I thnl they are saying if you just started getting social security this year (since 1-1-2020) that you need to go to IRS.gov to and hive your bank info so they can do direct deposit. Otherwise, wait on a paper check.

If you were collecting before that the IRS will know from 2019 social security payments your. Bank info.

  4. Keri

I did that because I was told that it was for everyone who is receiving SSI. I don’t have dependents. Will this affect when I will receive mine?

    • NayNay

Wondering the samething myself, cause I did the same thing, with no dependent, cause thought everyone on SSI had to untill that was updated. Hopefully it won’t affect us??

    • Crystal D.

Wondering the samething, cause I to did what you did before I knew we didn’t have to,if didn’t have kids & get SSI

  7. Dezzare H.

    • Tonya L.

Hi. My husband is on disability, has been for six years or more. Was wondering if when he gets his stimulus money will I get mine too since I do not work and I am not drawing any kind of money?

      • Sally p.

I’m on SSI disability and retirement,no dependents, will I still receive a check? Do I have to pay it back,?

        • Hinna

Man every is a bunch of dum dum. You guys don’t read any thing do you? We be receiving it early May and people that are asking dumb questions don’t pay it back that’s what it says on the IRS website and you guys don’t read those social security money either. Dummy?

          • Jody M.

And calling names makes you eligible for mensa?

          • Angelic C.

This comment is so poorly written I wish I was a dummy because of all the grammatical errors.

          • tony

The SSI recipient’s children are waiting for the SSA to approve them for disability. They are SSI baby born into the SSI system and paid for life. Just approve them for SSI and get it over with. The majority of them will claim autism and/or ADHD. They go into a psychiatrist office and before they leave, they will have a medical prescription written out and a diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD.

          • Rtc

Maybe they keep asking because the information that is being put out there is wrong.we have been getting misinformation and they keep changing the dates so don’t be an ass to people trying to find out what is going on.you may have been one of the lucky ones to get their payment while the rest of us are still struggling to get the correct information.dont blame people for asking questions blame the people who are misinforming everyone.

          • R

They are not dumb. There have been many different articles about these things. First they said it had to be paid back. Also first it didnt say who was getting cks. Just said people would start getting them starting April 15.

          • Maria

We are not dum dum people just want to make sure they are receiving a stimulus check. It’s not about being dum dum either. My opinion!!!!!!

          • MJ

There is no reason to mock someone for asking questions no matter how obvious the answer may be. People will be relying on this money to get them through.

Unfortunately it is very confusing for those of us who receive benefits and/or disability. A whole slew of articles suggest that we use the irs system to provide our direct deposit information and yet the IRS tells us it is unnecessary. This blog post is telling us we should.

Which is the correct answer, do YOU know concretely?

          • S

You should learn how to speak English before you criticize everybody else. Of all people on the planet, you’re the last one who should be calling people dumb, dumbass

          • goldie

hey hinna u dont go around calling people names like dummy, THATS NASTY. i’ll ask u some medical questions that u wont know the answer to only physician assistant would. whats necrotizing fasciitis?? im waiting DUMBASS……

          • SWJOHNNY

            And you are an idiot

          • Gohnetta

The way this is worded is the issue.

          • Momo

This kind of talk isn’t needed! Really some may not understand or even have internet to access what apparently u can! So shut the hell up fool! Stop calling people dum dum!

          • Melissa

Its pathetic that every site I go to on social media there has to be someone who makes a rude comment cutting other ppl down, for once cant u ppl stop n think before u start typing words kinda like think before you open ur mouth n always remember be kind to others cuz someday ur gonna wish someone would be kind to u!! God bless you

          • Dumbass

          • VynieTheGreat

Get over yourself. You think that makes you hot shit teasing people that could possibly have limited education?
People are out here struggling to make ends meet and your negativity isn’t needed you infected gash.
Positive vibes and strength to those struggling right now.

          • Sherry T.

Girl, you need to have Grammerly on your computer in a bad way!!
I have never seen so many errors in a post, where someone was calling others dummy! Take an English course!

          • Askabrotha

            Honestly,

You shouldn’t call anyone Dum, or Dumb, or whatever.

It’s rude & simply, not nice.

There is a lot of information out there & the bulk of it is intentionally misleading, confusing, or down right wrong.

Thanks to Social Media, everyone has a voice, but there is nothing to make everyone use this right wisely.

People are desperate, afraid & have no idea who, or what to believe.

Even the IRS has had to retract, or change, it’s position on some issues regarding this matter.

Thanks for trying to clarify this information.

I’m only suggesting your wording may cause your effort to be ignored

            These are trying times.

We all must try to work together to get through this unscathed, if that is at all possible.

          • Lori

You shouldn’t be so rude some people are on disability for a learning thing and can’t read or don’t understand my son doesn’t understand but he’s not a dum dum

          • Steph

Anyone with her name shouldn’t be taken seriously .. lmao… and the clown face? ? she must be a dumb clown herself and that is why she calls people “dum dums “ English is not her first language… poor writing skills. Class act!

          • Big D.

You must be a dumb fuck if you don’t know ask a question you must be slow dog that wasn’t right for you to call someone that for asking a question you would not say that to a real g in their face you need to check yourself

          • Rick M.

            Be nice with others please

          • Gina

Sorry, we read it. But it is confusing to some of us. ?

          • JOHN H.

            Stop being rude

          • Krissy F.

Wow hinna…”every is a bunch of dum dums…..” REALLY? You choose to criticize others with that kind of grammar? Judge not lest ye be judged

          • Jeff

Hey name caller!! Totally uncalled for…I’m assuming you taught your kids to talk like that as well!! Eat some humble pie and maybe throw out an apology…or something!!!.

          • Terrance W.

Well look who’s the real dummy… Ah it’s you. The money everyone receiving is really a advance on next year’s tax bill. Nothing is ever free we are getting an interest free loan till next years tax bill and you will start off with at least a $1200 additional tax burdon. Basically your deduction for your self. The US Government is not in the interest of giving free money to the average American citizen. That is reserved for big money like banks, Wall Street firms or insurance companies and some auto makers. It is true that some people who do not pay taxes will get the money for free and it seems the Government is ok with this, 95% of the average Americans will be paying this money back by the 2020 tax year.

          • Pamela

            So negative.. you the dummy

          • y p.

You don’t deserve any payment with your poor smart mouthed attitude. What you need would be illegal to post on here.

          • Static

HI I am Earth, have we met??
I just lost 10 minutes of my life reading these posts & lost 10 IQ points.
            Thanks

          • Tlove

Man I only see 1 dum dum in this thread… and I’m sure we are all smart enough to figure out who that is.

          • Deb

We be receiving!! Be Nce!! You have no right to judge.

          • Delia

Dummy!!!!After the comment we be receiving, you have no right to call anyone a dummy.

          • Dea

Hinna, did you graduate from head start yet or are you still sitting there with a dunce cap, dummy…

          • Brad

          • Jojo

            Please if you dont
Have any thing nice to say keep you Mouth shur?

          • Jessie L.

Not nice. You should check your grammar before talking so loud! Just saying. God bless!

          • Luda

Remember, most people don’t read squat!! They either rely on someone else to read for them, or take a flying leap. Hoping that they don’t fall flat on their faces or fat asses, as they are to lazy to do things for themselves anymore.

          • CORNELL H.

THE DUMBEST QUESTION IS THE QUESTION THAT HASN’T BEEN ASKED.

          • Heidi

Maybe you should go back to school and learn how to compose a decent post. And how to treat people, it’s really none of your business what others post.

          • Robert L.

            Ur a Jackass

          • David W.

I have direct deposit social security still no check I am 73

          • Shelby

…..you really don’t have to be rude and such an asshole!.. instead of taking the time to be an ass to ppl who simply ask a question you could be learning how to get your sentences together so your not leaving words out

          • Fifth G.

The only dumb question is the one that is not asked. You dumbass!

          • Cody

You need to take an English class then call people dumb

          • Shirley

Put yourself in alot of our shoes who have been laid off due to all this and have had no money coming in until now. At least your still getting your pay.

          • Dee

You’re rude, crude, and a self-righteous idiot– and you’re not very literate (look the word up). Now, how do YOU like the name calling?

          • raul

            we’re not dummies.

          • John

          • raul

we’re not dummies. please keep 6 feet away from me. if u need my help dont ask me u know everything

          • Teri

No judging!!! Who do you think you are? God?!? Your judgement day will come soon enough and you may not like what you hear!!!

          • Concerned

I feel comments that are purposely insulting or inflammatory is a effective tool Americas enemy’s use to distract us from discussing this and all these so most important issues of our day. Yes, I got my stimulus direct deposit. But what worries me is .Are we being bribed to be complacent while Americas 1% are claiming some 280 billion for themselves

          • Nisey

I want you to LEARN to type before you call anybody any kind of name your mess is missing some words so who is really a dummy here YOU ARE ?????????

          • Sherm

Speaking of reading…you might want to proofread before you post. This will keep you from sounding like a dumb dumb.

          • Anastasia L.

Maybe that’s one if the reasons they are on it. Not nice. Also, I’ve read so many conflicting articles tha the it makes me dizzy. Be Nice please

          • Staciemarie W.

            How necessary was that? Really?
            Have u read your post?
There could be a ton reasons for missing information.
            None of us are…..perfect
That said, all we have is each other. This will become more apparent as events unfold.

          • S u.

Whos the dum dum, you dont make much sense yourself. Maybe try proof reading what you type.

          • Cory R.

I’m on ssdi does this mean I need to fill out something? I haven’t filed taxes since 2013 right before I became disabled.

          • Vonda V.

Hi Cory, thank you for your question. Social Security retirement, survivors, or disability beneficiaries and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients who do not have qualifying children under age 17 do not need to take any action with the IRS. You will automatically receive your $1,200 economic impact payment directly from the IRS. You should receive the automatic payments by direct deposit, Direct Express debit card, or by paper check, just as you would normally receive your Social Security benefits. Treasury expects automatic payments for Social Security beneficiaries no later than the end of April and automatic payments for SSI recipients no later than early May. We hope this helps.

          • Tara

Lmao right there with a ya

          • Tia D.

            Your whore mom is dumb.

          • Por C.

            Hello,
            Your trusty
            Agent DeeUm Lollipop.
I had a trivial amount of energy wasted trying to actually put your remarks into a read worthy paragraph. That’s ok, I’m slow S.O. W slow.
Anyhoo, isn’t it annoying when we do that anywhoo crap..lol like crapping corn huh..oh wait where were uh yes. You weren’t rude, you’re just smarter than all of us and even the posed posts that are deliberately there in the simplest read easy format with basic questions so it be read by most and they aren’t asking the same q again and again or calling in.
Ya think? Idk just a guess. Call it a hunch.
I’m one of those welfare pos SSI check getters. See I’m too smart sometimes oh wait I forgot I’m handicapped. Nm…..wasting space. Lol

          • Dylon

I hope you blow that money an loose your house dummy it’s only coming once or twice this year an it’s pathetic calling people dum dum on a government post just because the answered a simple question you sad little child..

          • Mary

            Wow,what about respect,kindness
Tolerance..you haven’t idea is the person get access to updates in the right way…just a question?
Give you the right to be rude & disrespectful

          • Valerie H.

You are very rude most of the people receiving Social Security are elderly and maybe they don’t understand this country is going thru enough and we really don’t need people to be rude and inconsiderate.

          • Curtis

Any dummy I see is you..
What kind of a dumbass name is Hiney anyway

          • Prop

You can’t even put a coherent sentence together.
            You are the dummy.

          • nameless

Your the fucking dummy you piece of shit looser!

          • Amye P.

Your comment is so ridiculous. People are not dumb for asking questions. They are older and concerned about their Stimulus Payments. Stop name calling people and grow up.

          • Meka

Instead of insulting someone’s intelligence, go back to school and get a refresher course in grammar. Obviously your the dummy. Don’t insult someone if they don’t understand something.

          • Bfra

Whoever henna is you’re so stupid you don’t even know the word dumb has a b in it. Not to mention the couple choice words in grammar that you left out kills me that you call somebody dumb what are you in the 3rd grade

          • Mike

Calling people dumb and you can’t even put a sentence together correctly.

          • Shell

Those people are the elderly don’t throw shade be respectful. There re so many statements on line it’s confusing. I’m on disability and I haven’t received my stimulus and I too have had many questions so give them a break

          • Deanna M.

You dont have to be rude these people is just asking a ? God bless you

          • Chuck

Yes,it’s free for now, but they will be getting the money back later on. Nothing is free. There is a loophole in everything that the government does.

          • Brenda H.

First off Dum Dum is spelt Dumb Dumb.
            Second,
If information given were accurate to us we wouldn’t have to ask these questions.
If your not worried about your money either you got it already or Don’t need it. We Do !!!

          • Jennifer

Rude, poor spelling, and horrible grammar. How do you sleep at night making fun of disabled people? From your comment, seems you may have some learning disabilities.

          • Karen

You really shouldn’t be calling these people dum dums as your Grammar is atrocious so before you start calling other people dumb learn how to spell dumb first

          • Jeff K.

            ????

          • Mrs. G.

Hinna , didn’t you ever go to school ????

          • Helen T.

You are a very nasty human being. You need to leave older people alone rot in hell you piece of crap

          • Joyce C.

You are so right I wonder if people read anything either.

          • Kate

Very legit questions. Be civil. Frankly your answers are part correct. The mailed checks start Friday could go on many weeks. The DD is between now and early May. Everything is a mess.. it certainly was never 2 weeks as the president stated.

          • Malcolm

I damn near had a stroke trying to read this foolishness.. and yet…you call others dummies ???

          • BRENDA H.

            Well said.

          • Kathy

I agree with MJ on this. One day they tell us one thing and the next time something else. Do we or dont we have to enter our information and what if we believe one article and do what it says andit’s wrong? Does that mean it’s going to take longer to get a check? It’s extremely confusing and it’s not right to make people feel as if their a “dumb dumb” because it’s so confusing. God bless

          • grammat

learn how to write correct english every you dum dum

          • Wendy L.

Don’t be so cruel u asshole some people just don’t no

          • Laurie F.

Stop with name calling it serves no purpose. I suggest you sweep your own back porch before you attempt to sweep others back porch.

          • Monique

All of this is super unnecessary. It’s Dumb NOT DUM! How can you use that grammar and call someone dumb? You could have kept all of that incorrect grammar because it only proves your ignorance. This is the wrong time for a person that clearly has a limited vocabulary will use a word with incorrect spelling as an insult multiple times ?.

          • Sis1978

You need to learn to spell! Quit putting people down. By the way dum is dumb!

          • Angela b.

Maybe before you call people dum dum, you need to re-check the lastest update from the Treasury Secretary , cause as of now you are the dumber one

          • Geezer

people like hinna shouldn’t be allowed to post, but I suspect hinna is just a spook haunting any site where they can post their diatribe. Ignore the ignoramus, they got their 15 secs of glory By the way, I’m still wondering when my wife and I are suppose to get ours. We get our SS direct deposit and neither of us have seen anything yet as well. In addition, we got our big $30 refund a few days ago, in the mail no less.

          • LaDonna H.

Calm down ! You are being so rude!

          • Jon

No such thing as a dumb person just only dumb people that don’t ask the question so ask all the questions you can

          • Dustin W.

            LMAO…??? BEEN SEEING THE SAME STUFF…PEOPLE CAN’T READ NO MORE I GUESS…

          • Deb

Seriously, you are calling people names? Dum, dum?.. I’m sorry, but your writing is so broken it doesn’t make sense. Before you start calling names to show how brilliant you are, take a spelling lesson, or two, and sentence construction wouldn’t hurt either. Your name calling, and the way you have chosen to get your point across really makes everyone else look brilliant, and you….well makes you look less than the smart person you think you arw

          • Mike s.

You people stop arguing and calling people dumb dumb, if everyone did not have enough problems already, arguing only makes things harder when we should all be trying to work together to get the government to understand these things. If the government does not inform people appropriately then is simple , vote the people in office out of office when the time comes and start right at the top office bc it is the top office that is allowing most of everyone to suffer. So take their jobs away! Is the only thing that can be done period. And it has to be done in big numbers !

          • Rosemary C.

Instead of calling names (that shows how low you are) try using correct english when speaking. Who is the dumb dumb NOW?

          • Yargnad

The sheer irony of your statement, calling other people stupid with the most egregious grammar -that’s quite funny.

          • Kimberly G.

Yep bunch of dum dum heads!!!

          • STELLA

            LMAO

          • Janet

No need to be unkind….. There are lots of conflicting reports out there… The dates keep moving back so there are questions.

          • Shirl T.

Wow really…Much prayer. Not everyone received the money early May.. May I give you two definitions of the word dummy.. One is a person that’s offensive a stupid,
foolish person if you will. Two an unintelligent person. Now reread what you post and think to yourself, Do I fit this description?
There’s so much going on in THE WORLD right now where people are hurting, confused and the list can go on, and the last thing they no we need are people like you… you know there is away to talk to people with respect.

          • Redemption

Not everyone is a genius like you. Nice grammar.

          • Karla

Did you ever stop to think they are asking these questions due to the fact they are disabled and need the help reading or understanding what has been put out there because they are disabled. Why do people have to resort to such hatred in this world if you cannot answer the question or you yourself can’t comprehend the question, move on.

          • Al

You know it’s sad. That was everything that’s going on we still as a country cannot pull together to help each other during this trying time. A divided nation will fall.

          • PAMELA J.

OBVIOUSLY YOUR THE DUMMY SINCE YOU DON’T KNOW PROPER ENGLISH OR HOW TO SPELL!! SO WHO IS THE DUMMY NOW???

          • Matthew

Does it make someone stupid or “a Dummy” when there is a different answer on 10 different reports! Actually they said ssi , and disability will start receiving their check anytime between now and early May! It is on the most recent IRS page and if you don’t like the people’s questions to the point where you are insulting them don’t answer , you are not the center of the world , I will pray for you….

          • Jeanine

Who do you think you are? It would be someone like you who hides behind a computer or phone to try and insult someone’s intelligence! Everyday it’s something different with the irs so your DUMB for not recognizing that Part smart ass!

          • Wildertaylor

We all suppose to be grown. Wow. This is sad how people take an informational tool and turn it into a bashing contest. This is sad on all parts. This is what this world has come to. Smh.

          • S.L. B.

I am one of those dummy’s, I know I am mentally retarded , I didn’t choose this for myself. Sometimes I wish I hadn’t survived the car accident that left me in this condition I am in. I would give anything to be a real man and to be able to work again, but I can’t walk anymore and I had a serious brain injury also. But when I get called names by people like you , and don’t worry, it happens a lot by others on almost a daily basis, but I’m expected to pay all my bills and have enough left over for groceries and other necessities like toilet paper and toothpaste and medications when I only get $783.00 each month for all of this. That’s why when we are told we would get $1200.00 , it’s like a miracle and it’s so desperately needed, not because of the virus but because we don’t never get to see that kind of money. It’s really hard for people like us dummies to really believe until we actually see the money. But I won’t believe it till I see it because we don’t usually get help because we are dumb idiots.

          • Troy

Spoken’ like a true intellectual. Lok

          • Ruby

Proof read before posting and name calling

          • Tabatha m.

How about being helpful instead of calling people names and making them feel stupid. There are no stupid questions!!! Why is it so hard to just answer the question and keep ur rude comments to urself. Treat others how u want to be treated!!!

          • Gary J.

            ?????

          • Joseph

Keep your comments to your self. People ask because they are worried, scared about the future. People haven’t realized how bad a situation the world’s in right now. I to am on SSDI after paying more than my share in for years. They ask because no one is giving nothing but half truth answers to their questions. One I’ve asked many times is when, when do SS,SSDI, an all get their stimulus payments on our direct Express cards if we don’t have dependent children? No one can answer that.

          • JBB

I don’t consider asking a legitimate question dumb. There is a wealth of misinformation on various websites. Nothing wrong with asking for maybe a definitive date.

          • Israel N.

You dam dumb and that other person who said people dumb you another dummy!! Don’t tell people dumb becuz you dam stupid!!!

          • lesa m.

You don’t need to be nasty about it

          • Douglas R.

            Speak English dummy

          • Reginald M.

You are an embarrassment to your whole genetic line, how dare you pretend to be much more intelligent and disrespectful towards people asking questions, the misinformation spread over the last week alone would confuse many people. Learn how to spell, along with some damn dignity.

          • Dondo

So you are mean, broke and stupid!!! Yikes

          • DrLoco2020

?Troll of the month award goes to Hinna for recieving more attention than the original post did. Congrats.

Peeps who feed the internet trolls their attention are doing what the trolls need and want from you. Ignore them 100% and you win…

          • I h.

You don’t even know how to write a proper reply, do you..
Learn how to write properly before you call other people names.
            I don’t see
            Hinna Phd. after your name.
            Hmmm..
Your words show exactly how smart & rude YOU are

          • Dani

How can you call others dumb dumbs with this many grammatical errors. ?

          • Bluetoo

Um… who’s calling who dummies? Next time use a grammar check.

          • Bill M.

That’s how DUMB people answer questions.

          • Paige

You don’t sound too smart yourself, calling people dum dums. I didn’t see anywhere that it said we would get checks in May. It just said “soon” and whats wrong with your grammar? You make no sense at all….YOU DUMMY, nah nah nah booboo!!

          • John w.

You need to shut your mouth. People can ask whatever question they want without someone like you interfering.

          • Faye

So you’re getting upset for what ..you’re the dumb dumb , not learn to spell

          • Daniel S.

People who have the grammar of a toddler and the inability to type a coherent sentence are not allowed to call others “Dum Dum”. Chances are if someone is asking a question on this site it’s because they aren’t sure of the answer or how to find the information.

          • Maris C.

            Hinna ?

          • Robert W.

You need to put your money towards further education and quit harassing these good people who have ligit questions.

          • Paul

Hey hinna or whatever ur name is no need to call people names because everyday there is something new said about thos so stop being a blank and u read it everyday it changes really classy

          • Gary B.

The only dumb question is a question that is left unasked. Name calling is childish.

          • Lillian F.

Illiterate af. Who’s the “Dummy” now? Leave folks alone lol.

          • Janet

Why is there so much name calling from one person? That is so unnecessary. I have been reading or listening to all the updates. Some people have disabilities, can not read or have a computer to look at this. So much information one day to the nex. And always different. We are in this together. Please remember that. It is so mean and ugly to call people names. God does not like ugly. God bless

          • James F.

You are all unworthy of my attention. Just read the notices. If you have a comprehension deficit, please ask someone with an 8th grade reading level to explain. The greatest generation are turning in their graves. ?

          • Betty

OMG Don’t you know that Karma will come back to you an bite you in your ass. Shame on you

          • Tammie M.

You are just rude! Many people don’t have the same education as others, so keep that in mind before you call others names.

          • Ur_mom

Yes let’s insult people. Ur pathetic!

          • Christian s.

Wow……. someone with such bad English skills still has the nerves to call people dumb……or as they would say, “He be calling mfs dumb but can’t form a half way proper sentence…” I guess that would equal dumb and remedial…

          • Ur_momS_A_Whore

Yes let’s insult people. Ur pathetic!

          • Mememememe

U r a loser! Go be pathetic somewhere else.

          • Sharon

            Don’t be an ass

          • Fred F.

You know a person has to be pathetic to be judgmental to another human that’s trying to find answers about something that’s so important right now in this time where families are trying to feed their children and keep a roof over their heads. People are trying to get answers and are getting more than one answer like nobody knows the correct answer so no they are not dummies or stupid but are just the opposite because by asking a question gets you knowledge and with knowledge comes wisdom so when they get the right answer it will make them smarter and a hell of a lot smarter than someone who sits back and calls another person a dummy or dumbass. Oh and by the way I hope your grammar is a hole lot better than your post because you sound like your pretty ignorant!!

          • Paul

Hinnabe quiet if u have nothing good to say at this difficult time dont talk shit u probably already got ur money or dont need it just shut up people are struggling they dont need to hear garbadge from u

          • Ernie

Someone needs to go back to elementary school and learn how to spell correctly, and don’t forget about the diction. Sometimes it’s better when people keep their gums from flapping!!.

          • Denise M.

Wow – who peed in your cornflakes this morning,

          • King B.

          • Ros

No need to be be so meen. She just asked. How do you no. If she can read or not.

          • Lacey

Is it really necessary to be name calling? You are truly what’s wrong with the world today. Keep spweing your hatefulness unto others and I hope you get back exactly what you put out. It’s called the Law Of Attraction! You’re a special kind of jack ass. So what if people don’t are asking stupid questions, doesn’t give you the right to name call and put them down. I sure hope you don’t have any children you are in charge of raising because it’s clear you are a hateful and disrespectful, lowlife for a human. Now there’s some name calling for you!
            #lawofattraction
            #jackass

          • Judy A.

There is absolutely no reason for you or anyone else to be on here be doing name calling that is just rude as he.
            I’m just Saying

          • Johnnie

That is not a nice way to talk to people . God sees and knows your heart. We will all have to stand in judgement one day.

          • RCReed

Some may not read and you can’t communicate worth a shot, I’m guessing you finished the 5th maybe the 6th grade?

          • Edwin

          • Chris

The dummy is you! Reading your reply tells everyone, you either quit school in 3rd grade or you completely failed grammar. Learn more on how to speak before replying to ANY thread.

          • Gypsy

          • Noneya

The page has many, many errors and your reply is beyond considering the fact you are calling a bunch of strangers dummy’s but you. Yourself sound pretty ignorant. Your first idea is to talk shit to others you should just shut the fuck up dummie ?? your annoying and oblivious to your own stupidity.

          • User f.

Why are you calling people dumb when you can’t even form a proper sentence? Look at yourself before you point fingers at anyone else.

          • Meegan

Wow, that’s uncalled for! Your inhuman!

          • Uknown

You should respect people on here no calling people dumb and fix your spelling setting because its making you look like the dumb one

          • S.McDonald

This is ridiculous by all means to post on a website the Social Security uses for questions. That’s what it’s supposed to be and answered to the best of ones knowledge. The name calling, language is what I find ridiculous. I myself am educated and know that it says 3 things that I’ve read. 1. Don’t need to.file under the qualifications. 2. It reads in another to fill out the info. 3. If you have children and receive benefits and have a child to fill it out to include them. Unfortunately there’s no way really of making contact to such offices involved in this to ask them directly. I myself receive benefits, and maybe I may not ask “correct” questions, but the beauty in it all is if you don’t ask what you don’t know then you’ll never know. So before you talk or say something to make someone feel inferior about themselves no matter what the occasion is, think before you text, speak if you’d like to be answered the same way?! I have adhd and bipolar, depression and also anxiety disorder with chronic physical ailments, I find it hard to understand sometimes what I’m reading because of the racing thoughts from bipolar, adhd. So I may not understand some things but I reread it and then if needed ask questions. It’s better than thinking you know it all because nobody does. Just saying and saying what I believe and know. Not to be taken as the truth but my thoughts. And I hope that they’re not offending anyone, nor would I claim someone to be illiterate.

          • STEPHEN R.

            Work on your grammar.

          • Woody

Wow is it a thing where people like dum dum there have to leave a post like that? As they always say that there is one ass in the bunch. How hard is it for people like you not to leave a post like that? I’m on SSI and not because I’m a heartless person like you because I have worked hard for it and I’m not a dum dum. It’s a simple question that just needs a simple answer because of all the things that are said on this matter are confusing. Got nothing nice to say keep it to you we don’t need your negativity.

          • susie M.

Dont call these people dummy! they have different things on there are you in the gov. NO so whos the dummy. YOU!!!

          • Chuck

I’m gonna try and make this simple and clear. If u recieve SSI or SSDI, u don’t need to do anything. U will get $1200 the same way u get ur social security check, either by direct deposit, check, or to your Direct Express card.
If u have children that are YOUR dependants, then you have to go onto the Irs.gov in order to get the extra $500 per kid. If u don’t, you will still recieve your $1200, but u will not get the extra $500 per kid.
Those who are on SSDI should be receiving direct deposits soon. Those who are on SSI, they’re saying they will be receiving there’s in early May.
You do NOT have to pay back the money, and it will NOT be counted against or affect your benefits

          • Just A.

Dude!!!…You might want to proof read your comments before you call someone DUMB!!! LOL You’ve DEFINITELY proven to be “intellectually superior” to NO ONE!!! ???

          • Michael R.

No reason to call people names if they have questions key them ask of you don’t like the questions keep your opinions to yourself

          • Connie Q.

Dummies? If you can’t even spell? Use your spell check! Numbnut! Not everyone. has internet access at home. Library s are closed, buses not running. Nor are internet savy, have device to access it on? Honestly! No name calling! It gets payback!

          • Brenda

Tony, picking on people born developmentally disabled makes you boomer garbage. I hope you lick a public railing and meet a slow, painful end. I hope you plead for mercy and get none you vile, disgusting old hippie trash.

          • Latonya

No so much dummies as you dont know your grammar very well and they said at the latest early may. It’s not stupid to ask a question about something you dont know. What’s stupid is not to ask. You are very childish

          • Tori D.

You are the one with an issue. You sound like a troll….still get off this site if you can’t be civil. This whole thing has been a mess! Something different every day so annoying! Everyone has a valid question.

          • Jodis

You are the only “DUMB DUMB” I see, do you realize alot of these people asking these questions are older individuals and people who are not as up to date savy as alot of people are now days and because of all this happening is the only reason they are even adventuring onto the internet and they probably have not read all the latest more detailed information coming out.
So maybe try and keep you ignorant comments to yourself and if it does not pertain to you then mind your own….

          • Teressa

First there is no reason in the World to respond in the VERY rude inappropriate way you have….
The only stupid question is the question not asked….

          • Carol O.

Yeah, not with all those grammatical errors

          • Eddie R.

Hinna, Before you start calling people names maybe you should be perfect yourself. also as your calling someone dumb but yet you cant even write out a sentence correctly also Dum is spelled Dumb F.Y.I. also you are talking about people with disability’s and some may not know what to do or where to go. So who is really the DUMB one??
Also what Does this mean? “Man every is a bunch of dum dum. also it is “we should receive” NOT ” we be receiving in may”

          • Eddie R.

this person must be illegal and pissed because they cant get “free money”
            GO HOME…..

          • JB

You are aware that some of this information is very convoluted. Also, there have ben so many changes, one never knows from one day to the next. Dummies, really? Grow up

          • Elease K.

Smh; really name calling. ppl are stressing about the shift in all that’s occurring in the world and that’s how you help.
Just answer a question if you can with Love.
Some ppl can’t comprehend well enough due to illness, meds, yet alone understanding what SSA and Gov’t has said about a stimulus package, spell, or read or etc, etc.
You know what scratch all of that.
            Be Nice To Everyone.
            I just had to vent.

          • Robin

Wow! We’re all in the same situation right now. Unfortunately there is always sour apples in the bunch blurting out unnecessary comments or resorting to calling others names. Everyone is stressed, sad & confused right now. But if we can all manage to maintain a level of decorum, we all just might survive this whole situation.

          • michael t.

Don’t call people dummies when your grammar is so poor!

        • Carla

I just keep reading that people receiving disability will get the stimulus check
But no one I know has received anything.

          • Marc H.

If you have direct express you will get your payment on your regular payment date pay attention to what they tell you .

          • Kim

I habe not received anything either

          • Ruby

This week, Carla. April 22nd, check your account.

          • Rosie H.

People on Disability will receive their checks around April 24th.

          • No o.

WOW! I was just looking through articles to inform myself and decided to look through the remarks. All I can say is WOW, right now in this moment I am sick looking at these replies. We are in a situation most never thought we would be in and need to support each other. Yet people on here are acting like my children. Calling names I’m blown away by the way people can be so rude. If you can help someone that needs it in a polite way then why waste your time saying mean things. You have no idea the people who are asking questions may be elderly or have some learning disability or just don’t understand things the way everyone else does. That doesn’t make them dumb. My dad had a stroke and asks me everyday if his check is here if he needs to do anything. If he were to post on here you would call him dumb but he is not. He’s had a stroke. I’m sickened by the amount of people on these sites that do nothing more than bully other people. What is the point. Does it make you feel better. A big Pat on the back to the people who are standing up for the elderly and disabled. Since they more than likely couldn’t or wouldn’t do it themselves. I just wish everyone would remember we’re in this together and if we don’t take care of each other then what’s it all for in the end. This world won’t go around without everyone every type of people in this world. So more or less grow up, lay off and as a mother “if you can’t say something nice then don’t say anything at all”. Good luck to everyone stay physically healthy and mentally healthy. Don’t read things like this if people are being rude. Just ignore them. No question ever is dumb and at this time there are a lot of question lots of answers and as we all know not all of them are right. Everyone take care and to the bullies out there. Next time you want to be rude think you just might be replying to your mother’s question or your father’s or a friend. Not everyone post a name and some don’t use there own. So how would you feel if someone talked to your family or friends that way. Everyone please stay healthy and take care of anyone around you. Family, friend, or stranger. We all need each other. Take care…

          • Teresa

I disagree with SSI and Disability receipents receiving a stimulus check. They are still receiving an income. This stimulus check should be for the working families. They are no longer receiving the wages needed to fulfill their essential needs. $1200 is a 1 month rent in most areas. People are drawing unemployment that is 1/3 less than their working wages. SSI and Disability shouldn’t be part of this bill. In the month of May they will receive they benefits and a stimulus; while working families can’t receive an additional wage because the economy is still shut down. SSI and Disability folks be blessed the crooks in the White House added you to this bill.

          • Debbie

I am confused about the SSDI check I have direct deposit and have seen I was getting a check but don’t understand when so much confusion with everything and no I’m not a dumb dumb just confused

          • Vonda V.

Hi Debbie, thank you for your question. Treasury, not Social Security, will be making automatic Economic Income Payments to eligible people. Unfortunately, we do not have information about the exact schedule for these payments. Treasury anticipates these payments to go out to Social Security retirement, survivors, and disability insurance beneficiaries starting around the end of April and to Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients starting in early May. Continue to check the irs.gov/coronavirus page for updates.

        • Debra B.

No you dont have to pay it back

To the lady who thinks people with a disability or on SSI we worked for this money we receive every month we paid our taxes every week for years ! So what your saying when you get disabled due to a accident at your job .you shouldn’t get your disability. We will keep that in mined and when you get 62 or65 you shouldn’t draw what you paid in SSA taxes we are only getting what it rightfully ours Thank you and God bless you you need a Angel sent down to you!
            Amen!

Teresa on here: I don’t care what you disagree with SSI and disabled people getting this. I hope you get Corona. Nor do I care what you think about the guy in the White House. You are abject filth. May your end be slow and painful. Your life has no meaning you are ugly inside and out.

        • Bryon N.

You don’t have to pay it back

          • Heidi

Maybe you should go back to school and learn how to compose a decent post. And how to treat people, it’s really none of your business what others post.

        • Melissa G.

          No

          • Lori

You shouldn’t be so rude some people are on disability for a learning thing and can’t read or don’t understand my son doesn’t understand but he’s not a dum dum

          • Lorilynn

You shouldn’t be so rude some people are on disability for a learning thing and can’t read or don’t understand my son doesn’t understand but he’s not a dum dum

        • Jeff H.

          No

        • Em

Sally, you will not pay it back. But to be sure you receive the stimulus. Please fill out the non-filer form!

          • J. A.

I have tried several times to put my son’s information to receive his $500 bucks. Don’t file tax and have custody of him. But there seems to be a problem that’s doesn’t allow me to complete form. Can u help please.

        • LaDonna H.

You should get the stimulus. And you do not have to pay it back.
If you recieve your monthly benefits by direct deposit. Your stimulus should come the same way.

        • Rebecca W.

Will mine come on my debit card

        • Melissa

You will get your stimulus check just like u get ur monthly benefits from the ssa. That’s what I’ve been told anyway. But I did go on the irs.giv website and put all my information on the non filers website before the treasury department and the IRS agreed to send us that are on ssa ssdi and ssi our stimulus check the same way we recieve our monthly benefit payments. But if u have dependent children or a elderly person u claim on ur taxes u have to go to the irs.gov website and go to the non filers website and give them the information on the dependents under 17 or a elderly or disabled person u claim on ur taxes.

        • Rita

What about people that recieves IDAr

          • Deanna M.

Yes as long as you have a Soical Secirity number if you didn’t fi oh e a tax for 2018-2019 or don’t plan to go to get my payment or if you didn’t file go to none fillers and enter your information or banking information

          • Claudette

I want to know why social security, disability, and vetetans are among the last to receive the stimulus check?
            95

        • Steve J.

Me too and nobody seems to know its frustrating

        • Keith A.

Yes you will get it automatically deposited to whatever account you get your benefits deposited. If you don’t do direct deposit the you will get a paper check mailed to you but it takes longer.

        • ernie g.

You will get one and no you do not have to pay it back

        • Keith A.

And no you don’t have to pay it back

        • Tim

Yes. The same way you receive the ssi and no.

        • Big j.

No paying it back Sally…ur entitled to a paper check or if u get direct deposit than you’ll get it to direct deposit…Go to the its.gov website 🙂

        • Adam

You can got to https://www.irs.gov website they have all the information on any questions but being on disability they have your bank account information if you have one

        • cpt

If you get a check, the amt you received will be added to your income for this year, and will be taxable when you file your taxes. So you will probably need to pay back 0 to 25% of the amt, depending on your tax bracket.

          • Dale J.

The $1200 plus any baby bucks $500 .per kid is NOT TAXABLE INCOME and is not counted as income for increasing your rent or anything else get a proof of income from SSA after you get the money it is all the same if you get direct deposit or a check or it’s in a big shit your dog leaves at the front door

          • Wlliiam

If I have no income and I have not worked in two years currently waiting on disability will I receive a stimulus payment my unemployment benefits have exhausted due to health reasons cannot work am I eligible for unemployment extension can someone answer please help not a dumb dumb just need answers thanks!!!

        • Curtis

It’s saids ssi who don’t file taxes will receive a check soon..Only if you want to claim kids do you need to file for the $500.00 per child payment,,,,
No you don’t have to pay it back

        • Linda T.

If u are on ssi u will recieve your money automatically now. But if u have dependent children u have to go on onfilers to file for money for them the extra 500 per child. U get the 1200 without filing. At frst they said we had to file to get it and they have changed articles so many times. It was confusing. No we do not have to pay it back and it will not effect our ssi monthly payments either. Its a gift from the gov. U are not dumb for asking questions. Alot of people are mentally disabled on benefits and nobody should put anybody down no mattee what. They should be ashamed of themselves.

        • Tatel1961

Yes you will automatically receive a check and no you do not have to pay it back. I am on SSI and I have been scouring overall of the government pages making sure that I’m going to get my stimulus check automatically and yes I am and you will. ?

        • Jerome W.

          No

        • Michelle

          Yes. and no.

        • Joyce C.

You should automatically get it if you have direct deposit and from what I have read you don’t pay it back it is to help you out with rent, utilities.

          • margo m.

i have a part time job and recieve social security and ssi does it make adifferent if i file already i also recieve my benefit every month on my direct express deposit for about 10 years will i get it on there

the only thing I’m going to say God help us all cuz in times like this people falling apart calling people named doing things this ungodly so I pray God help us all

        • Ida R.

You will receive your stimulus money no later than the beginning of May. No it does not have too be paid back.

        • Justin R.

Everyone! Get a life, for Christs sake! Bigger fish to fry, don’t you think!? Smh.

        • Deborah A.

Sally, yes you will and no you will not have to pay it back. Your stimulus money will go directly into bank account if that’s how you normally receive it or a check if you normally receive a check.

        • All y.

Yes you have to pay it back or you go to jail!

        • Robert R.

          I’d like to know to.

        • Robert R.

          I’d like to know.

        • Monique P.

Will there he two payments if I am on ssi and ssdi with ssdi already dispensed payment. But these are two separate programs as well as a third nyssip

        • Sherrie

Yes you should have between last week of April or first week of May . The stimulus payment does not have to be paid back.

        • dailey64

we should be getting checks as latest early may. and I also read that 12 months was nothing to be paid back, but… possibly after that we might have to…. kinda confusing…

        • Ashley

No you don’t have to pat it back ,and you will receive one!

        • Robert

As long as your under 99k agi. You’ll get 1200. No paying it back at all..

        • Kayla N.

You will receive the check you would not be required to pay it back no nbodybhave to pay it back

        • Paige

Yes, if you have a SS #, you will receive a check and no, you dont have to pay it back. If you have a bank account and you didn’t file taxes, you should go onto the IRS website and go to the non-filer section and give them your bank account info so you will receive direct deposit and get your money faster. Hope this helps!

        • Joni i.

Yes you will receive a check. No no one has to pay the money back.

        • Sara H.

Sally Perkins, first off don’t pay any mind to comments that don’t pertain to your question that is a great one to ask. Now, to tell you the truth so many things have been said that we will have to pay it back and then we won’t have to pay it back but just like anything with the IRS there is going to be a way to get their money back one way or another but I don’t think it will be a direct hit on our monthly checks that will be damaging. Once they pay out to everyone will we then know how this is going to effect us.

        • Tara C.

Yes you will get one to but if irs dont have your direct deposit info it will be mailed and could take awhile but you can also go to that link and give your bank details

        • Candi

I call the Social Security administration they said if u draw disability or any thing with s.s u will get a check…and if u r a payee for a child ,,,and u did not claim them on taxes then they will receive it to…But as long as they wasnt claim as a dependent,,,and u should get ur money, the same was u receive ur payment every month either check or direct deposit..and u will get it on the day ur benefits come ..

          • Julia

I’ve been wondering this because my son is17 and I bo longer get taxes for him but there wasn’t an increase in his check this month do you think he will receive it as well

        • Penny

You need to follow instructions for him. To add you as dependant as non-filer by tomorrow. If I read correctly. If you’re not getting a check due to your age or his disability.

        • Penny

Yes you will receive and no you will not have to repay.

        • Kyle

No you do not have to do anything you will get the stimulus check when you get your normal monthly benefits

        • Darlene A.

Yes you receive a check but you will get it in your direct deposit or in your Direct Express card and you should be getting it the first week of May good luck I just want to say one more time we’re however you get your SSI is the way you’ll get your stimulus check good luck

        • Philip D.

Your under 75,000 you will get it. It’s being sent weekly in order

        • Rick S.

You don’t have to do anything

          • Mary m.

Ok I wanna know if I’m on child support. and irs took the $1200 dollars back but my kids on ssi do I still get they $500 dollars or they took it sll

        • Angela

          Wheres my stimulus money

          • Brian C.

            were’s my money

        • Anibal A.

No you don’t have to paid it back.

        • Becca

No you DO NOT HAVE TO PAY BACK STIMULUS PAYMENTS THEY DO NOT COUNT AS INCOME SWEETIE. ..STAY SAFE

        • Dottie M.

I don’t believe our spouses will receive it. Just us. Sadly.

        • Donald H.

If people don’t get back to work , who can work, these checks are just prolonging the inevitable……..absolute chaos!!!

But then I wasn’t sure if it effect his payment. Ive asked others they didn’t know I even called my local office they were no help either.

        • Kathy

One minute we are being these payments are automatically put in our bank account ,the next we are being told that we need to file non- filers on IRS site ,and then also told not to do that ,I’m totally confused ,I’m on disability ,and my ex husband is on social security retirement .

        • Karen M.

          Yes.

        • Jeanette l.

They are probably waiting for people who draw ssi or retirement that gets their monies 9n the first of every month is probably gonna be 8n our accounts when we get our monthly benefits ,I’m glad that I am getting one ,eventually some time but I need the money now ,I have a 1 1/2 yr old and a 3 yr old grandsons who practically live with me ,but I cannot claim them bcause of the parents ,they want us to keep them day in and day out and buy everything they need they want us to do that but not claim them cause they want the money, that’s 2hy I need my money now ,I know they r doing their best but if they say they r doing it by income eve’s then I should had a ready got mine.

        • Annette

What I understand is yes you will receive the money and no, it does not have to be paid back.

        • Ed

Yes you will! No, you don’t pay back!

        • Willie B.

I’m on ssi disability and I’ve been affected by the Coronavirus just like everyone else and I’m waiting for my check to buy groceries and toilet paper and hand sanitizer

        • Latonya

You still get a check but if you haven’t filed taxes in two years they will send it to your last known address. To keep them from doing that go on the irs.gov website and fill out a simple tax return

        • Lorine C.

when will I get a check

        • Janet H.

          Will I get a check

        • Diane

I don’t understand why people on welfare (SSI) are getting a check in the first place since they are not out of work or losing anything.

          • Tammy

First of all , read up on your facts about ssi recipients and welfare . , I am a highly educated woman whom is an RN . I became disabled due to a work related injury causing severe edema (swelling) of my spinal cord. I filed several claims with labor and industry which would then force me to wait three years to settle for ssi . I also have four children whom I had to support entirely on my own . I took care of ppl like you for many years . And no matter how uneducated, simpleminded, and ignorant you may be , one day you may just need my services. So, ssi is not just for lazy ppl who make babies and expect you to pay for their support. So , how dare you pass judgement and ask the question what are we missing out on ? What I’m missing is 14 years of service which led to me getting screwed by our great government. So , you’re damn straight I’m gonna take my stimulus check and I’m gonna spend it on my children . Finally, I pray for simpletons such as yourself who don’t know their facts and just throw around judgments on ppl whom they know nothing about . May you never have to settle the way I did . God bless you .

Dumb dumb…..come on peeples, let’s stick together, not apart, that’s what their trying to do to us, we are bombarded Daily with misinformation from our Illegitimate President and his Russian family/gang….whatever you want to call them, he & his thugs give us nothing but misinformation & this is debuted, withdrawn or changed daily also depending on its effects on his financial outcome, not our health or our future, so please, we need to stick together as Americans, because America’s core democracy & infrastructure is under attack at the deepest support beams that hold our democracy together,
We need to really study every single decision, federal judge placement, changes to our constitution behind our backs, laws secretly passed that will change this country so profoundly
His Dictator dreams/plans are almost all in place, and we won’t be able to stop him!!
Don’t beleive me…..Im so glad, maybe this might at least wake y’all ALL up & look into what he’s been secretly doing behind our backs while turning us all against each other & concentrating on a wall of no use, but distract us from him letting our enemy(his family, friends”he thinks” Financial Backers”…..USSR…..All roads have always led to Putin, Trump is heavily indebted to Russia and has sold us out, don’t beleive me
Watch!! Look all this up & you will cry with Anger……I guarantee it
This is not a joke, and I’m no liar……..We must band together or lose EVERYTHING!

        • Paula S.

No u won’t have to pay it back

        • Joe

      • Shelia k.

        • Michael

Maybe they don’t know how to read

          • Coy H.

On the second stemlous. Check if it gets approved where we supposed to get 2000 months I was wandering if people on social security will be able to get it to until this virus and unployedments calms down. Do anyone know I know they have not passed it yet does anyone have any information on it

          • Don

There is no dumb questions….just dumb answers from some dumbass…

      • Ami W.

This is an absolute “train wreck”…I’m highly disappointed there is no one who can give you an “REAL idea of when we will get our money. Very sad!!

        • Ruth

What I heard after all the other wrong dates was that Social Security, Ssi should have them by the end of April. The paper checks were supposed to go out between April 20th and 24th but there are alot so some people wont get the paper checks til late September. The latest that the Soc sec etc people will get them is early May. Some might get it sooner.

          • BABYBLU

Yes, that is the same information I read as of today. It’s my understanding that no information will be available on the Track My Payment, for anyone getting SSDI, SSI, VA, & SS RETIREMENT.

        • Mary C.

In about 3 weeks..early May? and remember…this too shall pass..have a great day?

      • David P.

I’ve been wondering the same. Been on SSD since 2003. The link on the IRS page to check apparently still doesn’t work, direct deposit or not

        • Jj

No it doesn’t work…before you enter you info there is a small section in blue saying that ss/rr/ssi/va…info is not available in the system therefore you CANNOT track your payment.

        • Steven L.

What if I get ssdi and filed taxes. I didn’t get it with the first set. So am I with the SSFI people. Plus I used HR for taxes and they gave me an emerald card but my monthly check is on a different card. Help.

        • Dorothy

Myy husband and I were divorced in September, 2019. We filed jointly in 208 but not 2019.. I am 77 years old and have had my Soc. Sec.. Bank drafted for 2 years as we were separated. Do I have to fill out form as my income is way below the poverty level or do I send bank info now? If mine is sent with his I may never get it! He lies about everything!

      • Orlando T.

People on ssi will receive their money this week

        • Joseph f.

          How ppl on SSD???

        • Joseph E.

          How about ppl on SSD??

        • Walter S.

Do you still get a still
Stimulate check if that persom passed away?

      • John

You will only after you take the necessary steps and register your name , Banking info if you have an account and you probably will not get your check the same time as your husband

      • Junie S.

Hi my name is Junie Sherman i get SSI AND DON’T FILE TAXES WILL I GET A CHECK

        • Rd

          Yes

          • Jumbo

Everyone on SSI, Social Security Retirement, SSID will receive a 1200 check unless someone claimed them as a dependent or they owe back child support..

        • Staciemarie W.

          Yes

      • Donna B.

        Wondering the same for me.

      • Em

Sally, you will not pay it back. But to be sure you receive the stimulus. Please fill out the non-filer form!

      • Em

Tonya, your husband will get it. But to be sure. You will need to fill out a non filer form to ensure you receive the full about for you both. 2,400 for married couple.

      • Hope

You have to go IRS website and click none filers input your husband’s info first since he’s getting disability and has 1099 on file already with the IRS select married filing joint and your info
You will need you and your spouse’s ss number driver’s license info along with your banking account number and routing number you should receive a confirmation email once you finish I hope this was helpful

      • Annette

You should receive a stimulus check as long as you aren’t carried as a dependent on anyone’s taxes, but you will need to go to irs.gov and no files to fill out your information and bank information to get it

      • Paul R.

Spouses of ssdi recipients that are not working it seems will be discriminated against.
Nobody has addressed this issue once.
Except you, first time I have heard

        • Michelle D.

I’m a spouse of ssdi as well as VA compensation and I received mine on the 15th .

      • Salim B.

Me and my wife are on SSA, SSI. Dependents on son, who will not get stimulus check. At least we should be allowed to get the checks. Everyone needs extra to support themselves.

        • Mslay

I don’t think it is fair for people on SSI who was claimed as a dependant on their adult child taxes but yet the child still didn’t received any extra money. It isnt fair,

          • T.Moore

I totally agree, I have been sending letters and emails to governor’s, congress etc.. To express my opinion and ask for explanation as to why those SSI recipient’s that were claimed as a dependent on someone’s taxes are Excluded from getting a stimulus check. Maybe if enough people do the same, they’ll change it. Worth a try..

      • Michelle

My son is 17 but gets disability wil be qualified 1200 and when

        • Tim

Yeah, everybody over 16 not claimed as a dependent. If he filed tax in 2018 or 2019 he will get 1200 soon if not he needs to put the info in the portal on irs. Gov then will get soon after.

        • Ann C.

Hi, Michelle. Continue to check the Internal Revenue Service Coronavirus Tax Relief and Economic Impact Payments page for updates. Thanks.

      • One

I havent got mine and checked online and confirmed lots of other SSI recipients are in the same boat. Someone told me they saw a May 1st timeline but I cannot confirm. Hang in there buddy im sure its coming. Im checking daily too 🙂

      • Debbie R.

From everything I’ve read YES you will get 1200.00 as well. So long as you and your husband are not over the limit income allowed your monies will be deposited into the same direct deposit account as your husband’s SSD or if he receives his benefits via USPS then that’s how you will receive the stimulus checks. In that case you may be waiting quite awhile before you get them. Good luck and stay healthy!

      • Humble L.

You need to go too the non filers form on IRS.GOV and input your information in order to receive this money. Your husband will receive his payment.

If mine is sent with his I may never get it!. He is a “NARCISSIST and lies about everything!

      • Michelle f.

You might need to go onto the irs website n file a nonfilers form with your information so they can send you a check or diirect deposit it. Pretty sure thats what you should do.

      • Jesus's G.

Please help me. I logged in like it states to do when your on Social Security don’t file taxs and have a dependant. So I put Back info and it’s asking for spouses info, I’m divorced. I can’t get thru I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Tried to delete it and create a new acct with password several times it won’t budge. Now I’m afraid I will not get stimulus check.

      • Tim

You must go to IRS. GOV and put your banking and financial info in the portal in order to get your payment. I take for granted you didn’t file a return for 18 or 19. So they don’t know about you you must go out your info in. And the sooner the better.

        • Try t.

Yeah, everybody over 16 not claimed as a dependent. If he filed tax in 2018 or 2019 he will get 1200 soon if not he needs to put the info in the portal on irs. Gov then will get soon after.

      • Rachel R.

        I’m on social
Security and I file taxes. No dependent children. But I didn’t get a check. What should I do?

        • Vonda V.

Hi Rachel, thank you for your question.

          • Linda

If my husband receives ssi but I have no income how will I receive mine?

          • Vonda V.

Hi Linda, thank you for your question. Check out the Economic Impact Payments Information Center under calculating the economic impact payment amount. For the spouse not receiving benefits, please provide information to the IRS by using the Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here tool or by filing a federal income tax return. You must provide this additional information before your additional $1,200 payment is scheduled. Hopefully this helps.

      • Big j.

Tonya if ur legally married u can get a check for between $300-$600 every month ….it’s a side benefit to his married wife n kids under 18…God Bless u

      • Marina P.

        Yes

      • Staciemarie W.

If he filed married filing jointly the amount of 2,400 is for both of you together.
If filing separately mrs needs to go to irs.gov/coronavirus and follow the applicable prompts to determine if you are qualified.

      • Robert

No you won’t automatically get yours unless you filed a tax return no later than 2018.You need to go to the IRS website and navigate to the link that will bring you to a place where you file a simple tax return. Its really simple and should only take you about ten minutes to complete.Just make sure you have your bank information ready and your license information.

      • Ricardo J.

Middle of April to begging of may possibly

      • Deanna M.

Yes go to non filers and put in your information yes you are entitled to a payment as long as you have a Soical Secirity number or you will get 2400 for married couples

      • Joyce C.

From what I know if you are married he will get payment for both of you which is like $2400.00 . That is the way I understand it

      • Antonio P.

Im trying to find out the same thing and im my wife’s payee.

      • Brandy B.

I have a question I get the SSA 1099 from every year an I have a account will I still be able to get the stimulus check and question # 2 is if someone file me on there taxes will I still be able to get the stimulus email me back please thanks..

      • John W.

Yes he will. He should get it in the same manner he gets his monthly ssd payment.

      • Randall

      • Mazi

You have to go to IRS site there is a form u have to fill out to get your stimulus money sense u dont work r pay taxes

      • Deb

If you did not file any income tax return you will need to go onto the it’s website and enter your information with a bank account for direct deposit or mailing address for a check. You won’t get anything if you don’t.

      • Overtaxed S.

It is not fair ssi recipients that take advantage of the system dont work just keep having children, they are slow learner’s get ssi benefits, no slow learning disabilities making babies every year, now you want government to pay you 500.00 each dependent, give us a break you Morton’s, you know you are.

        • Crisetta G.

          Shut the fuck up asshole

      • alice

If you not working and your husband, or someone else didn’t claim you, then you can get a check. You’ll need to file under the Non-filer, that the IRS has set up. If you don’t act, it wont happen. They need your info so they can make and send you a check.

      • jeff

I am on ssdi and havent gotten my money when will I get it they keep changing date which is bull crap

        • Vonda V.

      • Israel N.

      • Peggy

No you will not. You need to go to the IRS website and complete a non-filer form.

      • Francine

He will get his automatically either by direct deposit or check(however he gets his disability payment) if he claims you as a dependent you will not get the stimulus. If that is not the case call H&R Block, they have the up to date info

      • Michael

I’m a single father with two boys and I haven’t received my stimulus. I can’t work because my kids are home, absolutely broke. No unemployment has come through. I gave “check my stimulus” my bank info and it said I was approved to get stimulus. It’s been two wks and it’s saying they’ll mail me an update on when I’m getting the money? Two wks what’s the hold up?

      • Paula A.

I am trying to find out that same thing, I receive SSDI and my wife of 40 years has no income will she get her $1,200 or be treated as a second class or non-citizen as usual, if she can get it does she need to apply or submit her information? SSA or IRS needs to provide this information before it’s too late and we get shafted.

        • Vonda V.

Hi Robert, thank you for your question. Check out the Economic Impact Payments Information Center under calculating the economic impact payment amount. All I get is no info yet or unavailable info cant find info. So will I get my $$ in my direct deposit??

        • Vonda V.

Hi Joe, thank you for using our blog. It is Treasury, not Social Security, that will be making the automatic Economic Income Payments to eligible people. You may find the IRS Get My Payment Frequently Asked Questions web page helpful.

      • Penny

You need to follow instructions for him. To add you as dependant as non-filer by tomorrow. If I read correctly. If you’re not getting a check due to your age or his disability.

      • Christi M.

You need to go on the IRS website and go under non-filers and put in your information that way you will get a stimulus check. With him being on Social Security disability and you not working nobody claims you that means you need to go on there and claim yourself even though you don’t have to file.

      • Emmanuel O.

        I don’t know how to two this!!! Can I recieve a help…

      • DANIEL G.

      • S

You have to fill out the non filers form in order to get the money. It has nothing to do with your husband.

Yes go to irs.gov. fillout the non fillers section. Or your husband can just add you to his taxes.

      • Aroura

I am wondering that same thing too. My husband is on disability, I am his caretaker, I do not make my own income. We filed 2018 taxes jointly. No info on irs.gov about payment status for either of us.

a answer weather still be able to collect the stimulus check, can someone give me their opinions and or thoughts on this please

    • Maurice

Here’s a question? I took advantage of holding 2019 IRS Filing; to review a years worth of sales taxes that exceed the ‘average number by state’. It’s a State Sales Tax Credit. Now, did file in 2018. I owed and due to my timing used a still active and in good standing Credit Card to pay taxes, and paid off credit card at ‘0’ cost. So given a Credit card is not for Direct Deposit; why not use U.S. Direct Express Debit / Federally Approved and Recommended Bank Account for SSA which has been used for ‘what’ 10 years ? Please advise. Thank You.

    • MARY H.

what DATE can we on soc sec with no children under 18 and not required to file taxes in the past five years expect to receive a check in our direct deposit account please. i am 80 i retired at 75

      • Tonya

They are now saying that social security recipients should get their check the first week of may.it may change but as of today that is what I found out on the internet.

        • T

No Tonya. SSI (supplemental security recipients) will get them early May. Social security, retirement and disabled, they said the end if April. SSI and SSDI / SS RETIREMENT have two different timelines. SSI disability is not the same as SSDI. google can tell you more about that. You can also read the timeline on the House Ways and means committee website.

          • Kim S.

            Correct

    • Myrna P.

The Get My Payment app seems not to be working for many, many people. It simply says, “your eligibility cannot be determined at this time”. Perhaps it is overwhelmed, or it just gives a stock answer when anything goes wrong. However I am very familiar with computer systems and would make these observations/suggestions:

      1) Please put a short instruction on the line for entering social security number. Should we enter the dashes or not? A small thing like this MIGHT cause a glitch in the system.

      2) Please indicate whether abbreviations can be used on the street address line. I live on an Avenue. Should I put Ave or Avenue – or will the system accept either? I’ve tried to rekey it, to cover all options, but of course, when I try more than 2-3 times, the system tells me I have to wait 24 hours to access it again.

      3) Please clarify whether a “direct deposit” number in a Medicare record will generate a direct deposit Economic Impact Payment. I am between 65 and 70, and I currently participate in Medicare (and have my “direct deposit” account in my Medicare record because payments are automatically withdrawn from my checking account each month). But I am not yet drawing Social Security. There must be thousand of others in the same boat.

      4) I filed 2018 taxes but I did not indicate direct deposit because I owed money.

      • Ruth

It only works for people that filed taxes not for the other people.

      • Diane G.

        Q. Am on. Ssdi it say after april 23 or later but is ssi getting it at the sametime or ssi. Seperate. And am on. Ssdi and married but hehasnt done taxes will i get it for. A couple?

        • Vonda V.

Hi Diane, thank you for your question. Please have your spouse visit the IRS Economic Impact Payments Information Center under “Calculating my Economic Impact Payment” which explains what action he needs to take to receive his economic impact payment. Hope this helps!

      • Ruth

        Exactly

    • Tom

Seems to be discussions about a possible 2000 dollars per month per individual for a minimum of six months.

    • Jim

I m on ssi and I get a check every month to survive but if you want to give me a check to smoke crack and drink more liquor I want to know when I m gonna receive it cause I need it .

    • Debra

I am wondering why people that are furloughed are getting a stimulus check, they will be getting paid a full check from unemployment for all the weeks they are furloughed, they can’t spend the money anywhere and they are still getting the same pay so why are they now getting a stimulus check? The same with SSI, SSDI, Disabled Vets and anyone else that collects a monthly benefit that income won’t change during this pandemic, why is a stimulus check needed for those people? I am also wondering why those that are risking their lives for essential needs, going to work, risking their health and their families health aren’t getting extra for going to work, that should be something these people who are out their daily going to work to provide services should be getting. Not only should they get a benefit check but they should be getting double pay for being out their daily. This entire stimulus was not at all well thought out, those businesses like Walmart, Target, Grocery Stores are not hurting, they are still getting business and in fact more business because everything else is closed down for business, why should they be eligible for small business loans or any other government help? The businesses that deserve it are those that cannot open up and cannot offer any services like take out food, etc. What an insane move by our politicians to give everyone a check, even those that have not been affected because they don’t work. I am retired, I work contract work, but my retirement comes in no matter what and if I can do contract work I do it but I don’t rely on that work to keep me afloat. Those that are getting checks better dam well pay their bills, rent, lights, other things that are used on a monthly basis, pay your dam bills, this stimulus money was to help the economy no one is getting a boost except Walmart and grocery stores and gas stations so who is the real beneficiary of this stimulus. I saw a lot of people in Walmart buying unnecessary items this last weekend, this money was not intended to buy things you don’t need, tax payers shouldn’t have to pay for your stupid acts of insanity.

      • Tiffany

I’m 43 and live on approx $800 a month from Social Security because I’m disabled. That barely covers my rent. But, just because I’m disabled doesn’t mean that I don’t make a little extra each month by doing odd jobs throughout the month, like babysitting. It never amounts to enough to even report as income and not something guaranteed, but I already have problems affording to pay my rent and utilities… And now I have lost all ability to even make anything over and above that???
Even the homeless man that has no income and stands on the corner everyday begging for money to afford food to eat is feeling the effects of this. Not to mention, toilet paper is now 4 or 5 times the price it used to be… Now that I’m forced to have it delivered or must buy it at the local convenience store at convenience store prices. Food banks are only handing out food to people driving cars… I dont have a car. Am I supposed to starve now?
This effects us all… Regardless of verifiable income or not, homeless, employed, or disabled.
Thats why EVERYONE gets a check that makes under $100,000 a year!

      • Clinette

Shut the hell up. Who are you to say who should not be getting a check. You don’t know what other people are going through and need. You don’t know their situation and struggles.trying to count every penny and make it stretch in this high cost of living world. Worry about your own dam situation. And leave others alone. Cause you don’t pay none of our bills and it’s not coming out of your pocket. So go kick rocks you clueless ignorant Fool. ??

      • Tracie L.

The only insanity is the one saying people on s.s,ssdi, ssd, and veterans don’t deserve a check.ever stop to think most of those people have life threatening conditions, conditions from serving our country so people like you have the freedom to say what you want.your a inconsiderate, selfish pig.

        • Todd S.

Quit being a Blue Falcon DEBRA! I’m said Veteran, oh wait, Disabled COMBAT Veteran that was Med-Evacuated from Iraq in 2007 bleeding to death from my sustained injuries hanging on by a thread hoping to stay alive long enough to make it back home to hug and tell my 7 yr old little boy and my Mom and Dad goodbye in person that I loved them one last time before I died! After 8 colonoscopies in 6 days 6 of which were performed in a fabric MASH tent with a tarp substituting as the floor in the middle of the friggin desert and having 57 large units of blood Transfusions and losing 3+ feet of intestinal tract, I’m VERY HAPPY to report to you DEBRA, I will be receiving my Stimulus check tomorrow!

      • Debbie

Correct, the stimulus check should only be for those who are forced not to work and not getting paid. Social Security, disability, etc… still get their pay , why should they get extra?

        • Tim

Because that’s what the CARES act says is The Law!

        • duhh

I’m on social security disability so who the fuck are you to say people on social security shouldn’t get a stimulus payment I paid into my social security when I was still working and therefore when I became disabled I had enough units to be able to receive Social Security benefits for my disability but frankly it’s really none of your stupid ass business to why people on Social Security are getting a stimulus check you pathetic looser. Mind your own fucking next time!

        • Deanna M.

    • Donna

What about those who DO file tax forms but who have not received money back. They have paid instead for several years. The IRS would not have our bank information.

      • Sierra

What I’ve read we will not get anything

      • Ann C.

Hi, April. Treasury, not Social Security, will be making direct payments to eligible people. We cannot determine an individual’s eligibility. Continue to check the Internal Revenue Service Coronavirus Tax Relief and Economic Impact Payments page for updates. Thanks.

        • Crisetta G.

This is ridiculous. Saying the end of April is not giving us a direct answer. The government really let us down.

    • Peggy

I filed taxes in 2018 not 2019. I was approved for disability in November 2018. Do I need to do anything. One article said if I filed in 2018 and not 2019 I had to go to website for the i.r.s. It keeps telling me my info is not right. Than another article said if you were approved after January 2020 you had to go to website, I was approved before. My money is put on the direct express card which I have had since my approval at the end of 2018. My head is swimming with all this information. Does anyone know if my money will be put on direct express card, or will it be mailed.

    • Were t.

Good lord Almighty haven’t even got the first one yet ! Already asking for a next one ! can some people be so fricken greedy ? be happy you got one and leave it at that, whenever you get the first. Good greff. already

    • Patrice

What if the child gets ssi do u still have to enter in the non filers portal

      • Lori L.

If you didn’t claim them on your tax return, yes.

      • Lori

If you didn’t claim the child on your tax refund, then you need to fill out the form.

        • Ju

Mine is 17 and I did receive my stimulus but no credit for him he also gets ssi

    • RC

Yes thousands of dollars are headed your way.

    • Thomas S.

Please stop wasting space with petty high school behavior!! PLEASE TAKE NOTE IF YOU ARE ON SSDI SSA, SSI & VA BENEFITS YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY GET YOUR $$ THE EXACT WAY YOU RECIEVE YOUR BENEFITS- DIRECT DEPOSIT, DIRECT EXPRESS DEBIT CARD OR A PAPER CHECK MAILED! NOT COMPLICATED – IF YOUR MARRIED THEN YOU WILL RECIEVE $ 2400 IF SINGLE $ 1200 .IF YOUR ON ANY OF THESE BENEFITS AND YOU HAVE CHILDREN YOU NEED TO GO TO IRS.GOV AND FILE A NON TAX FILERS APPLICATION TO SUBMIT YOUR KIDS SO YOU GET THE EXTRA $500 PER CHILD -*BUT-* YOU HAVE TO DO THIS BY APRIL 22 , 2020 SO YOU GET YOUR KIDS $$. ANYTHING ELSE LIKE IF YOU HAVEN’T WORKED OR FILED TAXES IN 2018 OR 2019 YOU ALSO NEED TO GO ON THE IRS.GOV NON TAX FILERS PORTAL AND FILL IT OUT AND YOU’LL GET A CHECK FOR 1200 IF SINGLE AND 2400 IF MARRIED

      • Ll

So if i don’t neec to put a child down I don’t need to go fill anything out on the non filing part?

      • Jacquelyn D.

Someone sounds like they are constipated

    • Dorgima B.

When r the direct deposit going into the accounts.

    • Val

They should allow disabled people who can be claimed a dependant on thier parents taxes to get the payment also

    • Mario S.

From what I read, there’s a proposal being drafted in Congress. It’ll take awhile. Right now they’re working on businesses paying employees and small business loans and varies other items. If you go to YouTube, there’s some ladies n gentlemen that explain it
in real good detail. Most of the info was right, on the first stimulus with direct deposit. I hope this helps.

    • Its d.

If I receive ssi and I filed out the non filer irs tool because they told us to do it at first and then said we didn’t have to take any action recently will I still recieve my stimulus check on at the beginning of may

    • Mark

Really,it makes me feel as if the world I know is fading into the abyss.Everywhere I look I see confusion, lies, ingnorance, and meaness,If there is an unseen plan to bring this country, world to an apocalypse and an epic horrible end .Then it will be accomplished by the evil and uncaring attitudes of more and more citizens forgetting what they’re about to loose, and being vile and willfully adding to the pain ,and distress we all are involved in .It doesn’t give a rat’s ass about anything that for humanity’s good. Wake up and get your heads out of your asses b4 you haven’t got an ass to pull your head out of.

      • Rikashay R.

What an odd place for this discussion. Why not have a humanity needs to get their freakin’ act right discussion on a bulletin board for SSI and stimulus. Seriously why not? What a wide range of people. Who knows the right one could be reached that can help start a change.
I’m trying and have been for awhile with Facebook groups.
I have a Facebook group called
” THE UNIVERSE-ITY OF HELPING HEALING HONORING HUMANITY ”
I’ll promote that real quick because it does pertain to the subject see hand and I think everyone should join. I’m all about teaching humanity’s humans how to be human again.
Just be nice to reach other people. What did it hurt to be nice to one another.
Especially in this context. The way we interact with people anymore is fleeting.
If a comment irritates you then just scroll onto the next one. You have to go completely out of your way to make any rude, judgemental or irrational comments to people whom you have never met. What does this get you? Nothing good, nothing for the greater good. Focus solely on what small things would make your world better. One of the things that might make your world better is not having to stop and insult every person in the comment section. Less stress on you. That’s for the Good. Less stress on the person you thought about insulting. That’s for the greater good.
        Now
If anyone wants to hear it!!! Or I mean read it!!!
EVERYONE THAT MADE LESS THAN $90,000 THIS LAST YEAR AND IS NOT SOMEONE ELSE’S DEPENDENT IS GETTING A STIMULUS CHECK.

    • Melissa H.

I filled out the application it kept telling me in simple words something wasn’t right when I filled out the form a friend of mine told me people who receive SSD don’t need to fill out an application they automatically will get their stimulus payment on their card they receive their monthly payments on.

    • Mrs. R.

I have searched far and wide for an answer. but no luck in finding one. My question is, my minor child receives survivors benefits. I don’t receive anything myself, but I am her representative payee. Will SHE receive a stimulus payment?

    • Joyce W.

Since I’ve turned 65, can I draw social security from my deceased husband?

      jwhaley1884@gmail.com

      • Vonda V.

Hi Joyce, thank you for your question. Widows benefits are payable as early as age 60 (for a reduced benefit) or a full widowers benefit at full retirement age or older.

Use our Survivors Planner to look at how your family members are protected if you die.

    • Misty

They are working on another bill to help us 2,000month and rent and mortgage free. And somehow they will pay the banks for morgage and pay the landlord. That’s just what I’ve heard. What I’m having a problem with is after I put my information in for the check to see if it’s changed an of course it hasn’t. It will say that I’m approved and when they get more information they would lete know but it keeps going an said people who get SSI, SSA, and turns in a 1099form and gets any benefits from Virginia are going to be late!!!!!! What ??? I really don’t understand what the state of Va did to make this happen but of course that’s what happens when u really need it,,

      • Bluetoo

As for SSA, SDI, RR recipients who did not have to file taxes and do not have dependants, I read that direct deposits will go out starting the week of April 20th and the rest at the end of April 27th. Some have already received their money, but it could be that they are doing it in batches This is probably why some have not received their money yet. Personally, just assume you will get your money at the end of the week of the 27th. That way, if you get it sooner, well you know the rest.

    • Cj. B.

417 comments……didn’t come across one that was helpful in anyway toward the subject of stimulus payments…….I did though read the typical bullshit retorical nonsense most public comment portals become…..shame……fellow American brother and sisters

      • J

Yes!! Has anyone thought about why this is happening!!! I believe that God has had enough of human kind nd and the way they act. If you look back almost all disasters have happened in a place and time when the people were out of control and selfish. After the disaster happens everyone works together for the good of everyone. Well I think God has had enough of all of us and that includes me, the selfishness, miss use of nature and the animals he put on this earth ? for us to enjoy and take care of. Including the beasts of burden that help us but we also need to take care of them. All humans these days think only of themselves and what they want, and to hell with the rest of the world!! It’s time for us to wake up and start to love your neighbor ( although I’m sure many of you don’t even know your neighbor) . Until then we will get his wrath and we deserve it.

    • Legia

My son is 19 now and he did get SSI check in 2018 and 2019 but they cut him off Will he be able to get a stimulus check

    • James W.

      Not sure about that
But I understand they are talking about it.what I want to know is what to do,if I am claimed as a dependant, but am not.because I live in my son’s house he thought it was his right to claim me as dependent.sure I live in his house.i also pay for the privlidge.i also pay all my other expenses.he would have a rough time showing that he provides more then 50 % of my support.seems like he got a a 500 $ credit for me and I got screwed out of 1200$.not a good trade.there is a 700$ difference.when I brought it up that I am not in any way dependent, was told to get out of his house.very greedy! I guess he forgot how many years he lived in my house, with a wife and 2 children.i need to know how to fix this.if there would be more stimulus money, I would not get that either.as I am claimed dependent..my wife unable to work and I support both of us on my ss .no good deed goes unpunished.all my children forget how much we did and still do for them.

When are ppl on ssi going to get there money

    • Lisa C.

Will there be more stimulus money for people on social security disability?

    • Grace

People on any type of SS will wait forever to get their stimulus check because we do not contribute to the economy. President stated the poorest would receive stimulus checks first. Didnt happen. The IRS has no ideal what they are doing nor do they care that poor people are sitting home twiddling their thumbs.

    • William E.

SSI and social security benefits will be on.may 1st and economic stimulus benefit will be on April 29th.

    • Kathleen B.

I receive disability and I have a bank account but I do receive 12,200.00 this year. I understand that I would not have to file taxes. My question is when shall I except my stimulus check.

    • William E.

      Yes. 2.000 on June 1st

    • Patrick M.

Hell I haven’t received the first check and I’ve been signed up for direct deposit for yrs and paid my taxes in January .The I.R.S. said they are updating the “Get My Payment ” website once daily which they AREN’T or I would have received my Stimulus check already.

    • Jerel J.

I will not get my child of 2 year’s old her 500 check because the IRS TAKES Her money with my 1,200 for past due Child support for my 14yrs of prison which I had no means of paying. They took my $5,989 tax return for 2019, people like me doesn’t matter to the USA we at the bottom of the food chain. Thanks again for giving a man a chance out her in the free world.

The news articles and irs reports all say as and SSDI recipients will get their stimulus money as they get their normal monthly payments. Wrong. Mine is monthly direct deposit. They are mailing me a check for stimulus so someone has it all wrong. My neighbor has already gotten his via direct deposit and my older brother was given a choice between dd and a check. What a mess.

    • Paula K.

My name is Paula Gilstrsp n I get SSI on the 1 of each month will I get stimulus check .

    • James C.

No. In fact the Social Security Administration and Treasury Dept. have now been discussing a method of collecting money from all recipients to offset debts they owe. The latest estimate is collecting roughly 35% of benefits to go toward debt repayments. They are likely to begin the reduction in payments to recipients of all forms of benefits with the exception of VA benefits in July’s payment month. So save up now!

I am on full disability and HF ave not been required to file taxes for the last two tax seasons. My son is 17 do I do not qualify for the extra $500. If I understand correctly, since my disability benefits are directly deposited, I should not register for my COVID19 stimulus on the irs website for my information is already available. Is this correct? I have attempted each say to use the payment tool and it continues to give the message not able to confirm eligibility. Should I be concerned for still no stimulus received. When do they anticipate disability getting their stimulus pay?

Keep your comments to your self. People ask because they are worried, scared about the future. People haven’t realized how bad a situation the world’s in right now. I to am on SSDI after paying more than my share in for years. They ask because no one is giving nothing but half truth answers to their questions. One I’ve asked many times is when, when do SS,SSDI, an all get their stimulus payments on our direct Express cards if we don’t have dependent children? No one can answer that.

    • Cathy A.

Hi Patricia, thank you for your question.

      Nope

    • Kristen C.

So when will we be receiving the stimulus payment I’m on SSI

    • Danette

Well, if it’s anything like this cluster f**k probably not. I thought this stimulus check was to help the ones who live paycheck to paycheck, but apparently not, my roomate OWNS HIS HOME, 2 VEHICLES PAID 4 AND ABOUT 30,000 TO 40,OOO GRAND IN HIS BANK ACCT, I have 131.00 on my direct Express card and he got his stimulus last week. Thanks Trump..I don’t even have enough respect 4 u to, address youn as president. Watch now I’ll never receive mine now.

      • Bluetoo

From my understanding, it was those who had the lowest income got their stimulus check first, but apparently this isn’t the case. Don’t blame Trump, blame the Treasury Dept.

        • DW L.

I filed a 2018 return, banking information wasn’t needed because I wasnt getting a refund. I am a Retired SSA reciepent; do I need to do anything else to received my stimulus ck? So many conflicting answers.

Just approve them for SSI and get it over with. The majority of them will claim autism and/or ADHD. They go into a psychiatrist office and before they leave, they will have a medical prescription written out and a diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD.”

How dare anyone judge a parent whose raised an ADHD or autistic child. If child deserves disability there is many reasons they qualify for a time then must qualify as an adult. I raised ADHD child no disability check. Never applied. I have autistic grandchild have no idea if her mother applied or not. I also have legally blind grandchild. So to parents who apply they deserve it. Alot of missing time for work for appointments and specialist. And Drs don’t freely medicate children and not every child with diagnosis qualify for ssi. Very inflaming comment. And to others who have nothing nice to say or can’t be helpful move along. This is for help not showing you haven’t been raised better than that. You’re getting same stimulus check and not being taxed. I’m sure most would rather have ability to work and although none would trade child for anything it would be less difficult days without special needs child and that little check doesn’t cover the true expense of it or the emotional toll it takea on the parent. You should be ashamed.

I’m on social security disability and I have 2 dependents under 17. IRS keeps rejecting my non filers form because I need a IP Pin and it says that I have to call to get one. They are closed. How do I receive my stimulus payments if it has to be done by noon 4/22.

I have a 16 year old son and I recieve SSI, but when I entered all information in the portal, it stated an error. Upon investigating what the error meant, I don’t qualify to get the $500.00 for my son because someone claimed him on their taxes. How can someone claim him on their taxes if he is my son and lives with me? Is there a way to resolve this matter?

    • Kristen C.

Are the people that is on SSI will they receive the stimulus payment as well. And does anyone know what day it will be I have a direct express card from social security is the money going on the cards.

    • Michael G.

What about the people who owe the IRS from their 2019 taxes and are unable to pay, cause of the Corona virus epidemic? Will they be eligible to receive these economic impact payments?

    • Joshua M.

If you are on this blog posting page writing anything GET OFF NOW if you are not either being helpful, informative, and/or nice the IRS may not be dumb but the system is broken we put money directly in the hands of those who need it the least only to boast about the comforts of being so financially stable. The IRS is doing better than anyone in the logic of reality could clearly see they are printing checks and have already sent out direct deposits at breakneck speeds. Unfortunately it’s the scared, angry, greedy, or “privileged” individuals of America and the rest of the world for that matter who are hell bent on making their lifes personal goal to be certain those struggling are ridiculed and belittled like an infant we should all everyone of us be ashamed of ourselves for allowing this to happen. Kindness, selflessness, courageous, adventurous, and brave are words all used to describe the authors of the United States Constitution and forefathers of our country all of which concerns included the smallest most insignificant person of each community, we now base our values on monetary wealth and sex appeal as though we have values we denote to be higher than the homeless individual we set next to and scowl at for not being able to afford the aminities of everyday life. This world is fickle and cruel and I and ashamed of having no choice to be born to this reality living amongst those who care not for morality but instead wreak havoc and despair on the truly down trotted. What an unlucky populous we’ve become God help us.

    • Pamela K.

      They are working on it

    • Penny M.

Is the 1200 dollar stimulus check. Going to effect our regular 783 dollar SSI check we already receive? Or do we still receive our regular payments still?

    • Uncle s.

Where is my fucking money aholes ????!!!!!

You do NOT have to pay back the money, and it will NOT be counted against or affect your benefits.

    • LC B.

My email address:: lcburrelljr@gmail.com : I haven’t received my Stimulus check. Will you help me find the reason why not
      ? Thanks… LC Burrell Jr.

    • Jan

I have been following this very closely! And keeping up with it. In the beginning they were going to make sai,SSDI, and ssa that didn’t have to file for taxes register. Now all social security recipients will get it automatically through whatever way you receive your monthly benefit either direct deposit or check. The only people that have to register is if you get your money on a debit card or if you are claiming a child under 17 and you want the extra $500. They have a very short form for free on Turbo Tax. This has been confusing and some of you are older and not from the technology era so this can be confusing to you. You’re not stupid!

    • Susan A.

WHERE’S THE MONEY? This unconscionable delay has stressed this household into a “rent or food” question. Think about this as you eat your lunch and go home for dinner and have your wealth manager pay your bills. NO excuse, SSA has only had my iinfo for 19 YEARS.

    • Dennis T.

My wife and I are on social security and still haven’t got our money. We filled taxes. Why haven’t we got our money yet ?

    • Kimberly W.

I’m in your Supported employment Demonstration program and filed through the non filers irs website. I do know the programs new and there are 3000 people in this program. Since the government shut down I’ve gotten nothing accomplished and wonder if your gonna extend program ? Also do we get a stimulas check?

    • Chuck

Who are YOU to be calling anyone dum or dumb? Maybe some of us are interested in getting CORRECT details. We have had so many different stories put out there and some of us have kids we are waiting to get this money. You are rude and so disrespectful. I would punch you right in your chops say that to anyone standing near me. Shame on you.

    • Rene

Does all this name calling help clarify the questions that have been posted? Honestly, I left this kind of behavior behind in middle school. Please, at least act mature and confine your responses to serious and helpful answers. I am extremely tired of all the childishness on social media. Please act like adults.

    • Witchy

Payments for anyone on SSI, VETERANS, ABUSE, AND RAILROAD RETIREMENTS will be sent out late april early may, mostlikely will be receiving the payment with your monthly SSI/SSA payments.

This is only for people on these categories to file if they have children in order to claim their 500$ dollars.

    • Jackie

Do rep-payees get a stimulus check

    • Shelby M.

For almost everyone I hope so but from my ex husband I hope not because he stoled mine and my children’s stimulus it all came in one check because he claimed us as dependence on his Texas he refuses to give us our share my son and I both draw SSI and we are hurting but he just does not care and no 1 seems to want to help

    • I. M.

You really have to love the moron that said “every is dum dum.” He made two things painstakingly (I bet he doesn’t even have a clue as to what that word means, given his atrociously (another word most likely well above his vocabulary) bad grammer) obvious. One: He is a proud Trump supporter, and two: His parents were related BEFORE they married. If you’re confused trying to figure out when your economic impact payment will arrive, do not be discouraged, as the IRS is most likely even more confused about that than you are. Best estimate I can give for SSI recipients like myself: The IRS said by early May, so most likely it will be the first week of May, and if not, the second week.

    • Glenda M.

I have not received my stimulus check can u help me

    • Robin

I resent the unnecessary dig at the children out there with SSI. How dare you mock these little ones conditions. The fact is nothat one of them or their parents did anything wrong or chose to have to battle a condition every single day of their lives. So until you walk even a block in any one child’s shoes, I must insist, with all due respect, you shut your mouth! You are obviously uneducated on this subject & until you educate yourself, don’t run your mouth about our children, their condition or treatment they may or may not be receiving. I hope I’ve written this clear enough for you because I’ve heard it once too often.

    • Taina27pr

No such thing as a dumb question bully! No we don’t have to pay it back and yes a lot of mixed information first they said people on SSI will be getting it first now come to find out its in the beginning of May.
